Heroclix Software
What is the best software out for Heroclix.

I know there are some spread sheets but what I am really looking for is a search engine. So, for example, if I want an Indy Clix w/ TK I can find all the Indy clicks w/ TK and choose the one that fits best.

Beyond that any other good software for a new player would be appreciated.

Links would be very helpful.

Thanks,

Crispin

If that's what you want just use the search engines on the WK heroclix site.

There is also Battle Planner (Windows only), $20 Shareware. Personally, I am not to fond of it, but it gets the job done.

Re: Heroclix Software
Like you, I once come to this same place looking for just such a product (check my old posts to see the proof). I tried the HCRealms & Wizkids search engines as well as Battle Planner. In the end I created the Complete Heroclix Database (yes it is an Excel spreadsheet) which can be found in through the thread of the same name in this forum. It's been up for weeks and only one person has found an error so far, which I've updated. Take and enjoy, and let me know if you find any errors. Thanks.

Battleplaner is free. Yoy can get the pay version which lets you keep inventories of the figs you have and save premade teams, but the free version is pretty complete. It lets you search by anything. Need a Sinister Syndicate with a 9 or higher attack under 75 points? 2 or 3 clicks. I highly recomend it.

Paladin, thats the biggest pile of junk that I wish I could have taken credit for.

Well done!

I have to say - far more intuitive than Battleplanner.

Well, I like Battleplanner, and it works very well for me... but your mileage may vary. I would probably download the trial version and run it for a while, just to see if you like it. Personally, I love the silly thing.

I'm a big fan of BattlePlanner. I think it's the best program out there for team building/inventory tracking and well worth the $20.

Thanks for the input - I've checked out the Battle Planner, but I must admit that I'm looking for somthing simpler - I don't really need the battle-plan-functions, but just the inventory bit.

There's always www.myheroclix.com. Online inventory and teambuilding in one. And constantly updated as soon as new dials are shown...

Also, for inventory, www.miniaturetrading.com is a very useful tool. And you might even end up doing some trades for what you're missing.
I have TONS of heroclix to trade

The Heroclix Online program is easy to use and has everything organized just the way you wanted. It's a java program so it will work on all machines regardless of operating systems. It also has the advantage of if you want you can play people online. But I usually use it as a straight-up search engine and squad planning tool.

Here is the link to the thread on the Realms. quaid99 is very helpful and efficient in updating his program.
