I was just doing a mod using most of a Hellcat. When stripped I discoved she was made of transparent plastic underneath her paintjob. I don't really know how to best use this information but it brings up a question: Are there any other clix that are made of clear plastic but have been painted over? This is the first I've run into it. How about you guys?

I'm no modder, but I know the modders have mentioned Mutant Mayhem Cloak as being transparent underneath the paint.

Cloak is transparent and so is Obsidian
the legs on ult spidey are transparent (haven't checked the MM one yet) and I would bet that any figure on a leaping base (i.e. Ult wolverine, Legacy bats, etc) has at least the legs cast in transparent plastic.

... I'd love to have a list of all the transparent parts so I could make a kickin' Space ghost mod.

I stripped the paint off of a Wonderman to do a Superman mod and found that he is also transparent in his Rookie and Experienced versions. And, he's not the transparent purple that his Veteran is, he's a clear transparent.

Actually all the transparent ones are clear transparent with a tint of whatever color. Killer Frost is colorless if you use acetone to clean her.

Pretty much any figure that has a part that's translucent has at least parts of it that are clear under the paint. Blink is another one, and I'd be willing to bet Dagger's arms are clear too. Obsidian appears to be all clear, and Cloak for sure is all clear, since he's only one piece anyway. I have a sneaking suspicion that Mr. Freeze might be; at least the top part with the bubble and the shoulder pads for sure. Probably also Impulse, since he looks to be all one piece except the arms.

I wouldn't be too sure on freeze, his helmet is a seperate piece.

WHat are you using to strip the paint??? My favorite figs are the clear ones, and if i can have more, that would be cool!!!

I use a dremel tool to strip the paint off heroclix.

Ult wolverine has at least trasparent legs. Haven't had time to do more tests.

Cloak is clear whether you strip him or not. Hold him up to the light and look through his leg...

I use aceton and an old toothbrush to strip the paint.

And to add to the list, Queen Bee has one clear leg (The left one...).

Don't ask me why....

It's easy to repaint the "clear ones" with glass paint.

The Dremel attachment is like a little round steel wire brush...
