On the new Cd there will be different sized crates. The Soda machines are now to a better scale. In this picture you can see the molten metal/lava pits. These flip over to add some plain hindering terrain like shown to the right. In tha background you can see the "new" Skrull teleportaion pad, or it can be used for anything. I have also changed the tables as well. All this is constructed using Cardstock. Also included is "the Watcher" turn counter, very easy to make. It can also serve as an endurance counter in the VS. card game system or Magic.
The bonus. For a limited time you can get the first 3 Clixbuilder.com volumes for only 15 dollars (+1 dollar if you are from outside the USA), possibly the last time the original 3 volumes from Clixbuilders.com will be offered once the new CD comes out.
Drew, when the disc is ready I'll be there. I'm currently playing with the first three and having a blast. I've been a fan of your stuff from WAY back. My wife hates you but I'm guessing that's fairly normal for those of us with non-gaming wives...
I just want to know where you got the picture of a bobble-head Uatu.

So, will you be updating the designs on disks 1-3 to be made w/ cardstock, or are you just moving on to all new designs?
Yeah I was wondering the same thing. If the first 3 disks are only foamcore, then I dont think I'm intrested. However, if they were cardstock, then sign me up.

I'm thinking the same thing, no offense. I'm not a big fan of foamcore. Is it possible to adapt them for use with cardstock, or is that something you'd consider working on?
I have no real plans to convert the first 3 volumes to cardstock because the first three volumes were 100% customizable. You put windows where you wanted, doors signs, roofs, everything was about customization.
Cardstock everything is premade and ready to go basically. What I am doing with the new Volume is combining the two. There will be ready made buildings and some buildings "not so ready made". This way each CD can please both the "I want to build it now" and the "I don't want that door there" kinda crowd. I am still going to work on both foamcore and cardstock buildings, though cardstock is what I am spending the most time with.
There will be some things from the first three CDs that make it to cardstock in the future, but not for a while.
One thought I have entertained was posting a cradstock building template on my website with instructions on converting foamcore building designs to cardstock. It wouldn't be hard at all.
Matter of fact...I think I have a plan for this weekend now.
In the next two weeks look for the Foamcore to Cardstock conversion guide on my site.
