Yeah, we've got a tourney coming up and I am severely considering playing some WC abuse, thought I'd toss up what I have so far and what I'm considering. Btw, build total is 551.
LE Sue Storm w/Alt FF TA
E Jinx
V Dr. Strange
V Persuader
E Cosmic Boy
Figured I'd post what I have so far. This team comes in 2 points under the limit.
LE Sue Storm w/Alt FF TA
U Prometheus
V Dr. Strange (FF)
E Persuader
E Jinx
E Hawkeye (Ults)
E Cosmic Boy
This team gives me two TAs to copy (Ults and Alt FF), has two major ways to deal damage (Doc Strange and Persuader) as well as an all-around, screw with you guy (Prometheus). Jinx and Cos act as solid support staff and Hawkeye as a cleanup hitter.
Personally, I'd lose the Cosmic Boy and go with either Exp. Johnny Alpha or Rookie Polaris. Either one would add to your options (CB is straight support, whereas either of those two are solid secondary attackers). The addition of 2000AD boosts your wildcard AVs and X-Men gives you some healing. Also, the points freed by going with R Polaris would allow you to upgrade to Vet Hawkeye (the extra target and 3 damage w/RCE click is huge). If you're that attached to CB, drop him to a rookie and upgrade the Persuader to Vet.
I wouldn't go with cosmic boy or the persuader. Instead, I'd opt for a Drake Burroughs or Exp Wildfire along with a Rookie Robin. Its also nice to have some mystics. Try a T-Bolted Starter Set Wasp. For 24 points you get a taxi with mystics to copy. Also, a Vet Dagger is great and there are a lot of avengers that you could T-Bolt to wildcard if you wanted to.
Switching out Cos for Alpha is a friggin' good idea. I can't believe I forgot about ol' Johnny.
Doing that, I'd like to think, would make the team much more effective, especially in the face of a Sabatouer or Disbanded. None of the pieces on the team are slouches, and could do well if it gets to crunchtime. I really doubt that my strategy would change so much, I just wouldn't have a 19 defense to fall back on. I might even put a Disbanded on my list to counter a Sabatouer effect.
Persuader, though, I think will stay. He's a tried and true piece for me, as is Prometheus.
He's running alt FF as his defensive TA, Batman and Mystics are superfluous. He's running Ultimates as an offensive TA, although I'd reccomend adding Bat-enemy, or something like that.

If you look at the team, most of my guys aren't going to be buddied up to use Bat Enemy. The Ults allows for shooting and moving through stealth, so it's a big plus for both Persuader and Strange.
With the 20 points saved from dropping E. Cosmic Boy for R. Johnny Alpha; I personally would use Force Field on Doc Strange, and Protected on your fig of choice.
If you used E. Johnny A. instead, you could still afford either Protected or Force Field...

The reason I suggested Force Field on Doc (Protected as well) is based on my personal experience playing him; he has a big target on his head, and crumples quickly if left unprotected.
Many opponents know his effectiveness and gun for him immediately, rather than allow him to take pot-shots with his Psychic Blast and have free reign with his Outwit...
