I don't know why but these tokens confuse me. I don't get to play that much so feat cards and BFC cards already confuse me. I can't keep track of all these pieces of cardboard !!!!!!!
Yes, blue objects can be destoyed. They just replace a yellow/red object and you only get one per 300 points. Plus, they can't be used as an object- no carrying or TKing them.
Oh, I'm picking out a thermos for you... Hawkeye Game Club "These young 'uns gotta learn, you just don't mess with no mean-eyed furballs!" -- Ch'p
...
(PS, I’m disappointed that this S.O. doesn’t say that it causes EE when destroyed. How cool would that be if you could also shoot the Fuel Tank to blow it up?!)
...
That would be sooo cool. Maybe they will errata it to allow that
"Place any Pog on this S.O. and it can be a great bit of board control. If you’re lucky enough to pull Ted Knight, he could use this to make 2 attacks in 1 turn!"
Just read it and wasn't sure how thats possible. Thanks!
The Laser Turret allows a figure to make an attack with it as a Free Action. So the same way that a figure could make and attack and then use Outwit as a Free Action.
Therefore a figure can take any kind of action and still use the turrent as a free action (before or after.)
I hope that's clearer.
PS
I know its impossible to 'unring the bell' regarding the two other objects, but this isn't really the place to discuss or ask questions about them.
Again, sorry I posted them, and I have honestly no idea what their future is.
Thanks.
(optional) Once per turn when a character friendly to you occupies this object’s square, give this object a free action to make a ranged combat attack (8 attack w/ EE, 2 damage, 4 range.) against any opposing figure.
I was lucky enough to get a CD booster in the mail from WK, and I was even luckier to pull Laser Turret. So now I have Captain Mako and the Laser Turret, so I can get a frickin' shark with a frickin' laser!
Seriously though, as I said in the Cards thread... I am far more excited by the feats, BFCs, and special objects than I am by the any of the figures in this set. The new cardboard will go a long way in helping older figures compete in the new game. I love these objects! I have 3 of them already! Yay me!
In my day, we didn't have Heroclix. If you were being attacked by Superman with a 3d dumpster, you just had to hope you could outrun him.
Ok. So nobody on my team will do less than 3 damage anymore. Got it.
I like the idea of these potentially.
But it would be annoying to 'forget' about an object's 'powers' late in a game.
I tend to not notice pogs in games either, when my opponent has a large army.
It's just hard to notice little flat discs in a game of 3-D figures sometimes.
I think Skullbuster will have to continue to be on "destroy every object" duty as she has been since Nanobots was invented....
I love the idea of being able to blow up the fuel tank and cause an EE. But even just being able to charge someone, hit them for 6, and blow up all their friends at the same time is pretty sweet. Puck is gonna have some fun...
Great review. I have to say, though, that the yellow text is a pain in the butt to read...
AZS...the laser turrent says "Once per turn," unless I read that wrong...I believe you can not use someone w/ will power to attack twice in the same turn w/ the turrent? Please clarify. Thanks!

It does say once per turn.
I dont' know what you're asking with willpower, that really has nothing to do with this.
If, at any point durring your turn, a figure is standing on the turrent object, it may make an attack with the object.
I think its pretty clear (although clearly it is not).
I misunderstood...I thought you said that Ted Knight could use the laser turrent twice in one turn, but you meant he can attack w/ the laser turrent and then attack normally. Sorry
I got to say azs, this wasn't the best of articles you've done.
Way to much of it is wrong and conflicts with the rules of the special objects. I'll just write it off for now and think that they are just too new to understand fully yet.
I'm blaming you everytime someone sets one of these special objects next to another player's starting area.
Rest of the Primer, good as usual. Always makes me think about a figure or two in a different light.

If it wasn't once/turn, you could have one character standing it shoot it, then move off, then have another guy move onto it, then shoot it. A conga line of rapid missile fire (and very silly). Thank goodness they thought of it.
Can you use the fuel tank to do splash damage in close combat? The special rules of the objects 'turn off' when they are carried...wouldn't that keep it from exploding if used in a close combat attack? I understand how it would work if thrown (if it's sailing through the air it's obviously no longer carried), but didn't think there was a point between an object being carried and used in an attack and it disappearing from the board...

If the fuel tank Special Object is used, it does the "energy explosion" thing. As azs said, it's a seperate line therefore it triggers whenever the object is used.
In close combat you do not get the choice of whether or not to use an object held.
Need a real life example, any impact makes the Fuel Tank explode.
