so i got myself dundjinni and decided to have my own take on an older map.
hopefully adding much more tactical play to the map.
what do you guys think?
ill probbly do some more original maps in future but for now i decided to take an easy option just to see what i could do.
any ideas for future maps?

Visually very nice! As far as playability, I am not a good judge of those things, but I would enjoy playing on this map.
How long did it take you to make the map? Was the program difficult to use? Where will you print this map out? I ask because I was considering getting the program also, but was hesitant because I had not heard much from anyone about it.
thanks
it took me about 4 hours in total to do..but that includes the learning curve also. so id imagine the rest may come a little quicker.
as far as difficulty....its not difficult at all. very very simple easy to use interface.there may be one or 2 things that you might hit a barrier over but youll overcome those with ease.
as for printing. the program itself has a handy printing interface and will print your maps in sections that can then be stuck together or you could use that very handy map printing site that i see on here all the time xion or something like that.
hope that may help

That's good info - maybe we should start a Dundjinni thread. For $40 it seems like quite a bargain - is it easy to import your own tiles?
I figured out how to make maps in Excel (believe it or not) but I get the feeling that using a program dedicated to such a purpose might make life a lot easier
That's a good looking map, by the way! Looks very tricky - lots of places to hide, hinder, and generally slow your opponent (and yourself!)
adding new "tiles" as you call them couldnt be any simpler. you just drop the png image file into a folder and it will show in that category.
this is the best map making program i have come across. i have made maps in the past for various cg mods, pnp games etc on much larger scales using photoshop.
but this program is dedicated to making maps. so it couldnt be no easier.
as for this map. well its my take on the old IC street map.. but as im sure we all know.. with that map 8 times out of 10 you ended up in a huge mass brawl in the middle of the map..with a few ranged characters up on the roof. so i thought by putting some blocking terrain in the way this would leave a bit more for tactics from each player. as well as the 2 ladders ive added to each raised section. i just think it might add a bit more strategy to a very basic map. ive not had chance to try the map out yet. as i havent gotten round to printing it off. but if anyone wants to have a try ill put it up for download
