Our story starts a few years ago, when I still lived in Toledo. I was involved in several trades, and one of them netted me a savage hulk. The day he showed up at my house I took him out of the box, checked him out, and set him on the kitchen counter. The phone rang and I answered it. 5 minutes later my female black lab had the savage 201 point beast reduced to just a dial and an upper torso.
Flash forward to the present. I have since gotten married, moved to a new city, and (still) unpacking found the grissly remains of the savage hulk that I had saved. I decided to remod/fix him up and now he is ready for a tourney. I never got to play him and I’m looking forward to giving him a try. This weekend is a 300 pointer.
So this is what I’m looking at so far:
Savage hulk – 201 pts
Exp Blackfire – 62 pts
Vet Hive trooper – 25 pts.
That’s 288 points. Hive trooper flies my hulk around with willpower to get him to the fight. Blackfire uses her running shot to run interference for hulk and pick off the other guys range pieces. That leaves 12 points. I’m thinking either:
Vet Paramedic - for healing or
Exp Con Artist – for perplex to assist either hulk or blackfire.
Not a lot of pieces to work with, but hulk takes up most of the team himself. I’m interested in what you guys think of this, or recommendations for changes.
In any case, Hulk stays in. I spent all week after work to get him fixed, and I want to run him at least once.
I know con artist and paramedic are cheesy, what else would you recommend?
A medic or con artist both could help, but chances of good middial heals with the medic are slim and nobody ever really wants to run the Hooker.
I'd spend the last few points on either Haymaker or Shellhead for Hulk. The extra damage Haymaker would provide could be key, and it would help to push you onto your meaner clicks. Shellhead would of course help Hulk stick around longer, which is more important is up to you.
