Need Comment: My 450 team this week!!!
Hi all,

I just need all your possible comment on my new team that I am trying out for a 450 point tournament - 3 action.

Best of 3 rounds (Unrestricted).

My battlefield condition cards are: 1) Poor Teamwork and Crosswinds.

1) DC Giant: Validus (Calculator) - 152
2) DC Giant: Colossal Boy (Legion) - 115
3) Indy LE: Ghost Widow (Arachnos) - 52
4) DC Unleashed: Experience Batgirl (Batman) - 41
5) DC Collateral Damage: Experience Vixen (Suicide Squad) - 38
6) Pog: Sgt. Tork = 7
7) Pog X 3: Lian Harper = 3

Total team = 408

Feat Cards:
a) ICWO X 2 = 20 (Colossal Boy, Validus)
b) Protected X 2 = 16 (Colossal Boy, Ghost Widow)
c) Movethrough = 5 (Validus)
Total feats = 41

Grand total = 449 (I do not have another Lian to make 450)

- What do you guys think of this setup?
- Any changes to the feats or characters?
- I have not played with any of those Giant characters so I wanted to try it out this week.

- I think most people know how this team would be played, right? (Arachnos, Suicide Squad, Batman with Wildcards - hint..hint).
Regards,
Mark

Sorry to say, but Ghost Widow is 54 points, so I would replace Sgt. Tork with Ted Knight to make it an even 450.

You may consider bringing an Ordinary Day BFC in place of Crosswinds, because I'm sure that some of your opposition will be packing Disbanded.

I'm sure you'll enjoy using Validus--he's a beast.

Good luck...

Thatīs a fearsome team! That Validus of yours can become a nightmare for your opponent, as he is a 10-click deep mystic with an ability to heal himself with the SS-TA. You will be outnumbered, but with those bruisers, it will hardly matter.

Your giants have three TA:s to copy, be sure to use the right one at the right time. A savvy opponent will also try to target your pogs to prevent the SS figures from healing, so keep them safe.

A great team! They can take a hitting and still deliver some back.

I thought Ghost Widow was errated for 52 points versus 54. Hmm.unless my memory is fading me.

Anyway, the team did A-okay in the 3 elimination rounds. Went to the final round and lost Vixen, Sgt. Tork, Lian Harper and protected = 54 points.

My opponent lost only protected. It was a close game and I ran out of time. There was some special ruling that made it game really tight.

My opponent used Atom, Ant Man and 2 vet Photon. The special rules gave Atom with Impervious, charge while Photon was given impervious all the way down the dial. 1 other Photon was unlucky to get -3 to all combat values but they thunderbolted JSA to share the 20 D of Antman.

My opponent also played power dampening field while I played poor teamwork. The game lasted over an hour and all that we have done is do a lot rerolling hitting and doing only 1 damage at most each turn. Ant man gain 12 ranges with triple incapaciate which slowed down my Giant team.

Well, you might be asking what did I get with this special ruling. My Ghost Widow gained running shot and Impervious, my Batgirl got dual incapacitate (8 range), mastermind and force blast. My Vixen got batman like powers like outwit, stealth, etc. She was the first hit because one Photon who got the power of Superman got a full range of charge (charge at full distance with super strength - special ruling). Due to the ruling and not knowing which figure got what power the game lasted as long as it is. Also, I lost the only figure that could probably help me win (Vixen - she got the gift outwit).

This game special ruling is about opening belated Christmas presents. If you open a presents (12 available gift types in the game or in the game round) you will roll a die. Once you got the gift type your opponent would not get it anymore. The worst gift is automatic death (double ones). The 2nd worst gift is a roll of 7 which is -3 to all combat values. All the other gifts are better (like gaining the suit of Iron Man - getting invul, running shot, dual target, explosion for your entire dial. Another gift the hammer of Thor where you get Thor like powers - My Ghost Widow got it. ) These gifts are in addition to your powers. So Ghostwidow has impervious + supersenses, running shot, phasing, etc.

It was really close game for my 1st game and final round. I only lost technically 1 figure + 2 pogs + protected in my last game. Ghost Widow and the suicide squad helped heal my giants while they get pounded by Arachnos and the Giants. Too bad though that power dampening is on play this is why I can only do 1 damage with all the impervious my opponent figure has.

Anyway, it was fun playing the team. It almost went 3-0 but I lost pogs and a weak character (Vixen) versus my opponent only losing protected. His other guys are weaker already but due to time running out (I cannot finish one of his 148 point Photon).

The team is a great team. Try it out.
Regards,
Mark

I am unaware of any Errata'ing of Ghost Widow's point cost, and in checking the INDY and then General Heroclix Errata's again, this change is not there, so as far as I'm concerned, she still costs 54; but for clarity-sake, if anyone knows whether or not this is true, please let us know.

Thanks...
