2 250p teams good guys/bad guys
For some scenario play I have to put together two teams of 250 points each.

One "Good" and one "Bad".

My ideas:

Good:

Prof X (U) Ultimate -99
Wolverine (E-Starter) Universe -41 + lucky break +5
Storm (V-Danger Room) -40
Psylocke (E) Sinister -65

Total 250

Now with the bad I can't decide.

Bad:
Magneto (U) AW -187
Tessa (R) Sinister - 39

This leaves 24 points. I have wondered if I should take either
Hellfire Guard (V) Ultimate -17

or

Elektra (V-starter) Universe -21

or

Spymaster (R) AW -22

or

Scourge (V) Ultimate -21

I've got the Franklin Richard Pog (2p) and a few 4p pogs (Hammer, Urich) and 5p (Flash, Turk) as well.

for BFC I was thinking resistance and radiation leak

what should I choose to round out the "bad guys" a guard, an assassin, a industrial spy, a vigilante or just some cannon fodder?

I like the good team and I'll tell you why: It's balanced. You don't have one big guy who you rely on too much.

I think you should rethink your bad team. Lose Magneto, and use Elektra, and Tessa and Scourge and Spymaster. Maybe Taskmaster and a guy with TK to round it out. I think you'll be better off like that. Magneto's just too many point for a game like this.

Tessa isnt exactly evil.

And use the veteran Psylocke or not at all, the E reminds me of 10x worse the the V for 10 points less.

I personally don't like universe Wolvie, use DR Cyclops instead.

There is such a big difference between waht the E and the V can do. For 10 points. I would try and squeeze her in, but it might leave you relying on her too much.

I know I'm putting all my unhatched chikens in the same wooven wooden resepticle with magneto.

But I think my opposisiton will be building "good" themes about the same way. (One monster, with back up)

Tessa isn't "Evil" but she worked as a mole in the Hellfire Club. Thus she's thematic okay.

I'm afraid I don't have the V psylocke, and I used the E before with good success.

I think I'll end up using the Hellfire Guard and Turk Barret (Pog) , then the theme will be okay (Hellfire club w/ hired gun) and that's the important thing in such a game.

Selene veteran and Black King could be more fun.

For the evil team use Kang veteran and TK or Barrier.

I also agree with the 'Don't use Magneto' thing. He is way too pricey for this format

Yeah he is easily outwitted and hit.

And only one target ruins his day.

Kang is ideal. He has higher defense and three targets.

Yeah, and he's not likely to miss. Then use Tessa or another support fig. Like Destiny.

1. Outwit might be a problem, but with resistance the problem is less.
2. I don't have Kang. :P I could use the E Annihillus but that would mean a new team-theme. Any thoughs who would thematically team up with him?
Remember, this is scenario play, not cut-throath tournament play. :P

E Destiny is 23.

Rookie Toad is, too.

It is so humilating fo an opponent to get smacked by Rookie Toad, by the way.

Unlikely, but humiliating.

Hmm I think perhaps R Destiny and a 4 point Pog might be in order.

Against any team with much upfront outwit I can play the BFC Resistance, (Two adjacent models with the same team symbol cannot be targeted by outwit) and just carry Tessa with Magneto, and he's safe against outwit. And dishing out 6 damage to boot. That should kill of most supporters and dent even the thoughest opposistion.

Why not try out U Mr.Sinister or Black King? You can round out more characters with any of these. Mr. Sinister could have Vertigo, Skullbuster, Harpoon, and others. The same can be done with BlackKing. Selene, Donald Pierce, and some Hellfire members would truly screw those X-men. BFC? I feel that Darkness may be in order.
