Just curious how many realmers are actually into "Reality TV"? From Survivor, The Bachelor, Wife Swap, The SuperNanny,The Apprentice, etc.
Having tried a few of them- all we feel is BLECH!!! Think we'd rather watch America's Funniest Videos (even with Bob Saget) then this dreck that passes for entertainment.
Are the networks so afraid of making or paying stars, that they continue to "create" this stuff. Perhaps the era of the sitcoms has died- replaced by "reality tv" and "csi overload". One of the few shows we regularly watch is Dead Zone (which is apparently ending this year) and for fluff we watch Las Vegas.
Personally I miss fun TV, or even thinking TV- it is supposed to be entertaining-- in 20 years how will this period be remembered? Certainly by the lack of good trivia.

I usually watch the Biggest Loser and I watched the most recent Beauty and the Geek episodes (just to watch the Nate/Jennylee storyline) but other than that, I'm not a reality TV fan.
That is unless you also include the non-competitive "reality TV" like "X-Weighted", "Taking It Off" (it's about weight loss for those who haven't seen it), and a few vet/dog shows on Sunday morning that I can't remember the names of.
Edit: Campus Vets is one of those shows I couldn't remember the name of.

I watched the first three seasons of "The Osbournes" and liked it quite well. I stopped watching "The Apprentice" after the second season. Frankly, reality TV is not my gig but every once in a while there is an amusing show on. I have sampled a few, but none make me want to continue watching. I think that the worst of the lot (or of the ones that I've seen to date) has to be "Who Wants to be a Superhero?" Seriously, maybe some of it's tongue-in-cheek but sitting through a whole episode was a painful experience.

I am a survivor fan. I love the show, think the interaction between people is brilliant, but I love watching group behavior. Survivor is a brilliant game.

But how much is "real" cameras are there. It's more "unreal" behavior. If you want group behaviour check out a rave, a concert, any sporting event, any line-up for an event or even at the bank, gas station or Wal-mart.
Also fun is market research- being in a group of 10 others and making them believe what you "believe"
But that's just us...

I watch Survivor, Amazing Race (THE best ), and some of the Bravo ones (Top Designer, Top Chef, Project Runway (which is truly awesome). That's about it anymore. And honestly, I've been on the fence with Survivor for a number of seasons now. It's always the same thing. And everybody is so stupid on that show.
I personally like Amazing Race the most, as it involves travel, which I love, and there's not a lot of politics usually. It's not so much a social challenge as a true competition of smarts/abilities. The team that comes in last is gone. I like the fact that it's that cut and dry.

I watch Survivior if it is deemed a good season (this one is not IMO).
I watch Big Brother if it looks good and has hot women (sorry, it's true). Heck, there was a MAJOR thread for BB6 All Stars here on the realms!
I watch Amazing Race because it is the best! And I can watch it with my daughter. And while I don't watch Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, my wife and child do, and both love it. There is not much kid-friendly programming on TV nowadays, so I'm happy for both of these shows.
Bravo shows are coming on strong, and most are pretty good with Project Runway actually very entertaining.
Heck, I'll even admit to some viewings of Road Rules/Real World; but mostly just the Gauntlet types shows. The challenges are fun (must be the Survivor fix).
That pretty much sums it up. I'm sure there are others, but most just don't cut it for me.
Holy ####! How could I forget Big Brother! That is probably my biggest shame, but yeah....I totally love to hate EVERYONE on that show. (Except Will of course. )

I watched a few minutes of The Biggest Loser once and one of the girls on there was crying her eyes out, not wanting to make a fool of herself on TV. She apparently didn't realize she might look like a fool on a show called "The Biggest Loser".
Other then that, I usually stay away from reality TV in spite of the hilarity I mentioned above.
