Well it looks like I'll be playing next week in a tourney where you have to build a 400 point team of heroes and a 400 point team of villains. Dice rolls will determine which one of the two you play. Also, you can't cross universes, no mixing of marvel and dc or indy, etc.
If i remember right there is a one feat per character limit, and I don't know if we will be using BFC's or not. With those conditions, provided I get to play my hero team, here is one I had in mind:
The JSA-ish
Rookie Green Lantern (o)--85 + Stunning Blow (10)
Exp Wildcat-66
Rookie Shazam--105
Sandman--59
Dr. Midnite--43
Hawkgirl--39
If I did my math right that is 397.
I figured I would have GL carry around Wildcat as even more of a deterrent to getting too close to him and with GL's stunning blow, hopefully I can lock down big threats for Ted to smash. Once Shazam is activated, well, that ought to be pretty self explanatory.
Sandman will be a necessity with the low attacks on my team, plus he is a decent back up attacker who can take a little damage and still be useful.
Hawkgirl can pull taxi duty for Dr. Midnite as well as serve as a back up hitter herself.
As for battle field conditions, I would love to play Assembled to help my AV's but since it is a Marvel BFC I don't know if I can. I thought of Poor Teamwork even, but that might hurt me since I won't be able to taxi around wildcat and Dr. Midnite.
Still working on the villain team, but it's a little harder to do that one since I kinda would like to run a Secret Six/Suicide Squad team but I don't know if they are classified as heroes or villains.
So what do you guys think?

It's 407. You could downgrade the Wildcat to R to save you 12 points, both are good.
Personally, I wouldn't play Rookie Shazam without Doubletime. The figure effectively has 3 activation clicks on his dial, you need a good way to push through the garbage and get back to business lest your opponent just KO him straight off the Billy clix.
With that in mind, I'd second downgrading Wildcat to the Rookie, especially if you're going to be keeping him in tow with Green Lantern as protection.
Personally, I'd forgo R Shazam altogether for the sake of thematics and put in Starman, but then again I love Starman perhaps more than is reasonable.
The JSA-ish
Rookie Green Lantern 85 + Stunning Blow (10)
R Wildcat-54
Rookie Shazam--105 + Doubletime 5
Sandman--59
Dr. Midnite--43
Hawkgirl--39
Neoshazam, you are right there on the point total. Needless to say, math was never my strongest subject. lol.
I agree with you and The Werle that rookie Wildcat is a great piece. I've never used him but he has a great dial and can deal out some really scary damage for his cost. My only thought for keeping the exp was to be able to have the move and attack capability, with Alan taking the first shot then next turn Ted would lay the smack down. Still, though, with the rookie I could do a running shot/SB with Alan first, and place Ted in base to base contact with them. That way I could incap them and leave ted to act next turn and give Alan a breather.
Also, Werle, the only reason I was hesitant to play Double Time on Shazam is because I'm not sure I can. If I can't cross universes with characters I'm not sure I can with feats either since DT is a Marvel feat and I'm running a DC team. (yeah, I know, a little aggravating and limiting especially on a guy like Shazam but those are the breaks).
I also like the Origin Starman, who I used recently and couldn't believe how much life he had in him. My only concern is that he doesn't do a lot of damage and with so many pieces of my build already geared towards support I'm not sure I could afford to run a guy who does that little damage and who shifts so quickly from attack to support.
Should I drop Hawkgirl completely? Should I shuffle around a little and instead of Hawkgirl work in a rookie Hawkman?
thanks for the help guys.
