What's so good about a DUO figure?
Okay, I don't have the new rulebook, and didn't see it at the Wizkids site, so I hope you guys don't mind if I ask. (It's probably been answered a million times, I know, I'm sorry.)

So, I pulled a Cap & Bucky and I really want to know what special rules Duo Figures have. Could someone answer this nicely? Rep will surely follow.

Duo characters have flurry basicly. They can make two seperate close combat attacks or two range combat attacks targeting a single opposing figure. They get minus 1 damage for the second attack (minimum of 1).

Oh, thanks! REP incoming! Oh, and can they do, say, one close combat and then one range combat, or does it have to be the same?

I'm not sure. The direct text from the new rules book:
"DUO ATTACK (optional):
Give the character a power action to make a duo attack. It makes two seperate attacks against opposing characters as free actions (making two seperate attack roles). These attacks may be close combat attacks, or ranged combat attacks with a single target. Resolve the first attack before making the second; the characters damage value is modified by -1 for the second attack, to a minimum damage value of 1. If the character is KOd as a result of the first attack in a duo attack, the second attack is not made."

Kinda sounds like to me, going from the text, that you could do a close and ranged or two ranged or two close attacks to me. If so that would make them a little better.

LoSH Rulebook is here.

Duo characters may not be carried (pg. 20).
TRADES. eBay.
6-5 tournament record for 2010.
An Admin told me that I'm "too smart" for Another Realm. I hold that as a standing order.

It sounds like both attacks must be made against the same target, so I don't think you'd really want to make a close combat and a ranged attack.

Well, if you end up fighting Omni-Man or the like who has flight and picks up CR late-dial, you might Close Combat while he's on toughness and then want to make a ranged attack after you see him on Combat Reflexes.

The Range/Close thing needs to be errata'd for Duos, since it really isnt clear.

...hopefully they can still be TK'd.

My concern is how perplex is implemented with Cap and Bucky.
Can they both benefit from it during a dual attack like 2 figures
with the ability...or does it have to be applied to one or the other?

...I think they both should be able to use it which really 'makes' the
figure for me.

Anyone know for sure?

the way i plan to use it (i have one in the mail), is that his 'plex is active for the whole turn, meaning, they both get it. you 'plex the damage up to three with any other character and they have it til you turn is over.

One Turn, One Dial, 'Plex stays.

my question is whether or not they can charge and duo attack, i dont think they can since they are both power actions, but, its alwasy good to ask. S'what my momma taught me.

I'd say the perplex lasts the whole turn since it is one dial.

As for your question, they are both power actions so you can only use one at a time. If you activate the power action for the charge, then you can't activate it for the duo attack ability.

That's exactly the way it works!! So perplex damage to 3 - attack for 3 and then attack for 2 (3-1 for duo).

And no...charge is a power action and the duo attack is a power action of its own - no combo here!!

They can still be TKed (unless there's some other reason that they can't, like if they were a double-based duo character).
