Hear ye, Hear ye!!! Let the 13th Custom Clix Contest (Tri-C) begin. Time once again for the Golden Puppet Master to rear it’s bald head and blind us with its golden brilliance - shield your eyes else be blinded - but do not shrink from the challenge. Be resolute and bold and claim what is rightfully yours!!! The Golden Puppies await.

This contest is meant to be a competition between mods, more so than a competition between people - please keep that in mind. To compare people, we'd all have to do the same mod and I don't think anyone is interested in that sort of competition. This is for fun and to encourage modeling and modelers who hang out here in the Artisan's Guild. The prizes are, for the most part, worthless, but fun to get and they make for interesting decorations/conversation pieces.

Please submit a picture or two of your mod below, (most people like to see a back and front for judging purposes). Also if you are doing an obscure character, a reference picture also helps for judging purposes, but is not required.

Entry parameters:

1) One mod per person.
2) No more than two links per mod please. The link can be to a photo album with several pictures, but only two links tops. In the summary before voting, each contestant will be listed with no more than two links.
3) Mods must be “new to the web”. Any mod posted and linked to this site or any other modeling site prior to July 19th, is ineligible. Something newly completed or never before displayed publicly please - want to see some new stuff.
4) Dial is unimportant, so is base for that matter.
5) One modeler per mod, so no collaborations please.
6) Mods should have at least 10% alteration in original form and a completely new paint job - strict repaints are not eligible.
7) Half your mod must be from stock WK figures. It’s ok to use putty and other parts so long as they don’t become over 50% of the mod (figure itself, not effects) - 8) Mods should be associated with the superhero genre – either in comic print or through tv/movies. No Star Wars clix, Wrestlers, deities etc.
9) Deadline for entries is –(August 19th – 8/19/2007 Midnight EST)– your mod must be posted with links to pictures, as a reply to this post, by that time. That basically gives everyone 4 weeks. The 19th is a Sunday, late that night, I’ll start the voting.

11) After the 19th, each applicant, or person who submitted, plus previous 1st place Tri-C winners (whether they’ve entered or not) will vote for their 5 favorite modeling efforts submitted.
You may not vote for your own sorry, and you can not vote if you do not have an entry in the contest or are not a previous 1st place winner in a TriC contest. You will rank your favorites of the entries from 1st to 5th. Mods will be scored in this matter (5 pts for first, 4 for 2nd etc). *Important: If you do not vote or your vote does not contain 5 placements, your entry will be removed from the contest.
12) Please read all the small print above before entering. Any questions, please ask.

There will be 5 trophies for 1st through 5th place.

Any ties will result in awarding the highest possible prize to both and bumping the next tier of prizes in exchange – for example, we might have two second place mods, but if we do there will be no third place awarded.

First prize - Puppet Master primed and painted in gold apple barrel paint
Second prize - Puppet Master primed and painted in silver apple barrel paint
3rd prize - Puppet Master primed and painted in copper paint (I don't have bronze)
4th and 5th place – clay colored Puppet Masters.

But in addition to these wonderful prizes you will be immortalized in Proditor’s Contest Hall of Fame, and win the adoration of your friends and colleagues for you will be "The Golden Puppet Master of HCRealms" (don’t knock it it’s the only Hall of Fame we have LOL )

****Theme for the 13th Contest -

- *OK, a man and a woman. You can put both on the same base, but they don't have to be. If you do a double man or woman sculpt ala Cap and Bucky, you'll need to do a separate mod for the remaining sex.

*Yes, the man and woman should have something to do with each other...Don't have to be life long partners, appearing in a book together works fine. (I'm in no position to say yea or nay to any relationship someone else deems exists - and that would be some heavy arguing I'm just not up for). Contestants, who vote at the end, are perfectly free to hold people accountable for bad/nonsensable pairings - and I can't stop that either...LOL...so make a good faith effort to make them go together.

This will become the thread for the contest - taking over for the previous one - all entries, voting, communication, will take place here from now until the end.

That seems a little longer than 4 weeks.

I'm sorry, I was using standard modeler time - 4 weeks = 2 years - as in "yeah I'll have that figure you wanted in 4 weeks" LOL

My bad...official deadline is August 19th, 2007, not 2009.

I think I can do it

Well, I just came up with and assembled a male related to the female I had just started. Now it's just a matter of being motivated enough to get both of them painted by the deadline.

I am finishing one of my mods. The other one idk if I am going to finish tonight or tommorrow. I think you all will like it.

EDIT: Pulled my entry down because I posted before realizing it was for a male/female pair.So, I'm trying to decide whether to keep what I already posted and add a chick, or do something totally new.

Alright campers...two weeks and counting until the 19th. Preacher has the option to withdraw and submit two other characters or add to Red Hood, as long as he makes the choice by the 19th midnight...he's still in.

I'm not sure who would go with the Red Hood...interesting...hope it works out for you Preacher.

Again on the linkage...does not have to be life long partners, soul mates or lovers, etc. just a man and a woman that perhaps appeared and worked together at some point that you might want represented as game pieces. When all else fails, go with a custom Spidey (he's appeared with every woman in the Marvel Universe)

Hope the theme doesn't cause too many problems, just testing peoples ability to mod both sexes.

On another note, I have to be honest in my criticisms and say that Rezourceman's avatar chick is slightly more attractive than Bluebeard's...sorry Blue, a shave would help and the pigtails are just too Brady.

I'm gonna do this. Long time modder, first time compeating. Got one done, and the other is at the putty stage. After that, its just a paint job until the pair is done.

Is it all right if one of the characters has already been made? One hasn't been made, the other has been, but the sculpt is undynamic, and I'm doing a variation. AKA Kid Devil and Ravager unmasked.
