Can a character use running shot to get to the turret and then use the turret to attack again as a free action?

In a similar manner, if you are on the laser, you could fire the laser and then do your Running Shot.

It is a free action to use the turret. (Actually, the action is given to the Turret, itself.) As such, it can always be used.

It is a red-bordered object, so it can be used like any regular heavy object.

Yes. Those rules apply to characters making the attack. The LT makes the attack and is not bound by those rules.

Its confusing because I know most of the item's effects go through the walls (like Aerial Baffler).

You would need to drop the object somehow (such as pushing Mach III onto his second click). But that is possible.

This could be a strategy if you can get it set up near a separation field generator.

What he means here is that you cannot voluntarily drop the object. Some other game effect must force you to drop it.
