As a graduate of Appalachian State University and a proud supporter of the football team, this victory was not the huge shock to me that it was to the rest of the nation. 2007 marks the third consecutive national championship for App and they are on par with a lot of D1 programs! If we wouldn't have signed a contract with the SEC a few years ago, no D1 school would schedule a game with Appalachian State. Michigan was just the start. August begins App's quest for a fourth straight national title and with QB Armanti Edwards only being a junior this season, they have a shot to make it five! He outplayed Joe Flacco of Delaware who will be one of the first QB's taken in the NFL draft this season. Don't sleep on my Mountaineers...

well in addition to app state beating htem that got shat on by oregon the next week by like 39 points or soming so it really was just a weak start for U of M. Too bad it didn't continue cuase i'm a huge MSU fan and would have lovied to beat them but MSU is not great at all lol
