Ok this is my floor team for tommorow. I'm running a scientist theme team. Rip it up and tell me what you think.

The whole point is that Tomoe rae will out range most of the threats I wll face. I have a total of 2 perplexs 1 outwit/prob starting out. This lets me pump up tomoe rae's range or AV. Also the alt glc team ablity lets leader get a +1 on the same target. Beast is there mainly for perplex and to tie up big figures. My only concerns are stealth and swarm teams. Any comments or improvements would be welcome.

Ummm...okay. Which Beast are you using? I am assuming the Morrison run Outwit Beast. I think you need to re-read the GL alt team ability. I believe it stacks plus ones to AV's after an initial green lantern has attacked. Tomar's range is great, although your lack of TK will be tough. Beast can't use his X-men TA. I am assuming Beast is also mastermind fodder for the Leader? Maybe instead of the Leader you could have a few more support or secondary attack pieces.

Its the vet Beast from this set. The problem is that the only other 2 scientist in the set are giant man and high evolutionary. Hig evolutionationary doesn't do enough damage to be a main hitter. Giant man just sucks over all. If i put in more support i'm stuck with no damage dealer other then the leader and that doesn't work well at all. All other scientist attackers would be just as expensive or more expensive then Tomoe Rae.

I can't tear it apart per say, but I think you will have some trouble with stealth, there is not alot of stealth on the arena map, but where they are located makes them perfect for fortifying people in. I love Tomar Re and have had great success with him as a scientist theme team tent pole. I think as long as you are patient you should have a good chance of being competitive with anyone.

Anyway, it looks okay... however, there's some other scientists that might come in handy. R Kang springs to mind, as does an E Dr Mid-Nite. I don't know if you could fit both of them in for Tomar, but it's a thought. Also, Ultimates Wasp has the Scientist keyword, IIRC, and provides a handy TA for Leader.

My bad. I see the scientist theme now. I would recommend restructuring and Tomar seems your only option for change. His range is awesome but his TA is totally wasted. Just a suggestion.

I thought about r kang and r dr. midnite. but I was concerned that once he goes down my team would be sunk. The leader isn't really the offensive powerhouse you would want.

Stealth is a concern for you. I also wanted to use the Leader, but it's hard to match him up with good Mastermind fodder in this Floor format. There's Ivo from Justice League, and if you replace Tomar Re you might be able to do a Leader-based team, but that would involve going back to the drawing board. My Scientist Floor Theme team was going to be the High Evolutionary, R Kang, and Dark Beast. The plan was to toss Beast into the fray with High Evolutionary's TK and follow up with some Kang loving, then wade into the thick of things the next turn with High Evolutionary. Keep pushing HE until he gets to his PC clicks, and have Dark Beast use his evil SP once he gets smacked around.

I guess I will have to go back to the drawing board. I did think about the 4 cukoos with jakeem thunder. Cheap but funny.
