Ok, so I managed to pull a King And Queen SR and since I have one, I figured I may as well play the entire team. I thought about saving them for one of the 400-500pt games I plan to attend, but I'm feeling like they should make an appearance sometime in the next couple of weeks (300pts).
So I looked at them and here is what I came up with:
Jack & Ten 60
-Armor Piercing 10
-Protected 8
King and Queen 89
-Mental Shields 15
-Protected 8
Ace 66
-Armor Piercing 10
-Protected 8
274pts.
J&10 have the that doesn't work with Psychic Blast so AP will give them a shot at dealing at least 2 damage in a single round. Also, since their damage drops to 1 on the second attack, AP gives me the option to attack a fig without damage reduction on the first attack and then anyone else on the second attack, thereby dealing the maximum 3 damage in that round. Not much, but its something at least.
I thought about giving K&Q AP also, but figured I'm going to want them MC'ing opposing big attackers to try to thin the opposing army a bit. They are on the weak side anyways when it comes to damage dealing so MC seemed the way to go. As such, Mental Shields seems like the best feat for them.
Ace...well he's a charging brick. Well, more like a moderately sized stone, but whatever. Ap may not be necessary on him, but when any of these guys lands a hit it needs to stick. It may not be for the potential 5 damage that Ace is capable of, but any damage helps. I dunno if its worth the 10 pts tho.
I was thinking of filling out the rest of the team with some 'themetic' pogs. Thug and Joe Chill in particular. Though they still don't add up to the 20+pts left over. Maybe Kyle 'Ace' Morgan also.
So anyone have any advice? And obviously since I am playing the RFG, I'm really not expecting to win, just trying not to get swept every round.
Didn't hector hammond put the team together? You could toss him in there and bump it up to 400. RFG is frustratingly not-good which is bummer because they're neat looking figs. I wonder if you'd get any leverage from putting siphon power on one or two of them to bulk up to 400 once you've added Hector. I know it's not thematic but one little bat ally and they're all WAY better. Maybe they kidnapped the alfred pog =) Or the king could have one of the little Robin pieces mind controlled.
I played a K&Q, Ace, and J&10 x2 team the other day putting endurance and opportunist on Ace, and sidestep on K&Q. It was a blast. Giving Ace Willpower was mean, and I actually put good use to Sidestep!
don't forget there's the Joker too. and isn't Bullseye 'shooting' a card, and there's Gambit for more cards. also, Kane was mentioning you could play two Ace's and/or Jack and Ten.
i suggest you not play this team, you will not win. Also i think this team isn't going be fun to play
If your not going to help him. Then don't post. Who are you to tell someone what to play and not to play. Not everyone on here cares if they win or lose. If you had read his post he said he didn't expect to win.
That team actually looks alot of fun. I would try Extended range on King And Queen
My 2 cents: Drop Mental Shields and Ace's Armor Piercing to free up some more points in order to get some one (anyone) that has a team ability the RFG can take advantage of. I don't know anything about the RFG, so unfortunately I can't provide any comic accurate figures for them to team up with. From looking at wikipedia, they appear to be JLA enemies. I'm sure there is some cheap JLA-enemy you can find to stick on there with them.
The team costs 60, 66 and 89 for a total of 215? You could put in Exp Legacy Joker at 85 points (the one that starts with Leap/Climb and 18 defense + Combat Reflexes). He has the Injustice League TA, so you definitely want to play the Society ATA card. Jack&Ten carry Joker up, and drop him adjacent to your opponent's close combat threat or Stealthy Outwitter. He starts with Exploit Weakness and Poison, so he can handle either threat. That leaves Ace and King&Queen to work on the rest of your opponent's team.
It's not ideal, but it can be done. I just don't like Protected on these figs. They're going to get hit and pushed, and there's no reason they won't get hit again when they clear.
I think that you need to team them up with someone so that you can take advantage of their wildcardness.
They generally seemed available for hire so including a DC villain or two would be appropriate.
In unrestricted (stupid retirement!) I suggest the inclusion of the Joker.
At the last tournament I went to the judge was playing people with the Royal Flush Gang and Crisis (Tim Drake) Robin. He might have even won a game or two.

Amen. I agree with everything. Hooray for me not having to think! It's like highschool all over again!
Amending my post earlier, if you add a second Jack and Ten, it allows you 2 PC rolls, and a +4 to your initiative roll. I personally think that is not the greatest that they are the only 3 with RFG keyword and Wildcard, plus none of them can be carried. Very poor synergy, but they still play well together.
When I played them, I used the Jack and Tens to tie up pieces while King and Queen either sniped or mc'ed and Ace charged in.

I said that because, when you play a team that most likely won't do well then why play it? Personally no one wants to play or play against a team like that. But if he thinks it will be fun then it's up to him.
I played the RFG over the weekend in a three-way battle royale and won. I added Psycho-Pirate to the team since he looks like a joker and his costume matches the rest of the team's colors. Yes, the Calculator TA was wasted and I had to scrap playing a keyword theme team. I had Sidestep on King & Queen and Streak of Luck on Psycho-Pirate.
Since this was the first time I had used each of the figures, I wasn't very well prepared. Jack & Ten were knocked out before I could even get an attack off with them. I made the mistake early on of holding Psycho-Pirate back and using just his -2 perplex SP before I realized that none of the other figures really were that big of a threat to him. I had him use mind control to knock out two of my opponents' figures before the feedback killed him. (Gotta remember to pack Mental Shields next time...)
King & Queen are good fun! The regen late in the dial helped me take down a Teen Titans team of Kid Flash, Captain Marvel Jr., Speedy, and Robin.
I think it would be fun to play RFG, despite how really, really, really difficult it would be to be very effective.
I would say with what you have I would add Sidestep to Jack and Ten and DEFINITELY play Contingency Plan on King and Queen. This team is desperate for CP. that would put you at 296.
I couldn't imagine playing this team without CP. My King and Queen is in the mail, so I'm not going to run with them until I have the whole team, but I'll likely run something like:
King and Queen 89
-Contingency Plan 12
Jack and Ten 60
-Sidestep 10
Ace - 66
The Chief - 63
300 on the nose.
the Chief's outwit/perplex/TA is going to be monumental when put along with Contingency Plan but Manipulate is really going to be the lifesaver. If you can successfully get J&T to hit two Psi-Blast shots, and get Ace to hit a heavy attack early in then you have a chance, I think.
maybe.
RFG just got no defense. You almost need to get a batman ally or JSA, maybe, in there to offer up some stealthy protection.
