I think the basic team will be pretty effective, though I do want to ask, how many actions are you playing? If you are playing 10 actions a turn, you could get out-actioned if your opponent brings a lot of Brotherhood figures. If you're playing less than 10 actions, then I think you are fine... but if you are playing 10 actions, you might want to swap out for some cheaper X-Men.
I would recommend changing the two figures you have Inside Information on. First, Magneto has the Brotherhood keyword -- if you're going up against a Brotherhood team, he'll more than likely be able to hit nearly everyone on that team with the Inside Info bonus. Secondly, I'd put the other Inside Info on V Psylocke. She's got Martial Artist and Mutant as keywords -- and you want her to be able to use Inside Info against the "Mutant" keyword.
Remember that Iceman can't use Barrier (and therefore Construct) and Running Shot together, so he's going to have to be pretty immobile and close to your opponent when he's doing that. Since you're going to be wanting to use him for Barrier, you might want to consider using the First Class Iceman -- he's got the same range, one more click of Barrier, and costs 40 points less. (Yes, there are some disadvantages to him -- that's why he costs 40 points less...) But you could afford another cheap X-Men member with those 40 points... someone to not only be a secondary attacker or a support figure, but someone who can take theme team PC action tokens, if you are using that rule.
For 40 points, you could add R Nightcrawler, R Sprite (Shadowcat), R Havok (for 40 points and 1 Inside Information, you can get V Havok, a killer piece), LE Alex Summers, etc etc etc.
Just some recommendations...
95% of Iron Man 3 better be them explaining why he doesn't just call the other Avengers.

that's 1000 points... we usually do 5-6 actions for a 1000 point game.
I do like your suggestions.
Iceman was going to stay near Prof X and "protect" him a bit... support piece at first. Also like the Flyer aspect of him... he can pick up Prof and skee-dattle.
Freeing up those points might mean another/different hypersonic as well... Kurt Wagner???
The reason for the Inside Info on the 2 and not on Magneto is that he has a high AV already... wanted to help the others out.

My thoughts for Inside Info - Gambit and/or Psylocke to bump up an average AV. Or settle for a beefed up Magneto??

Reason: new team build
My favourite team:
DR Storm 40
MNM Emma Frost 107 (never leave home without her)
MNM Gambit 90
MNM Professor X 131
MNM Iceman 100
MNM Bishop 100
MNM Cyclops 50
MNM Colossus 158
XP Psylocke 45 (best X-Men ever made)
SI Wolverine 94
MM Havok 44
MNM Marvel Girl 40
Total: 999
Trust me, with X-Men you are way better off having more figs to swap clix with than feats. This team is competitive and a nightmare to deal with due to the amount of firepower on it.
