1000 Pts Sinestro Corps Team
Hello everyone. I just recently got back into playing clix again since stopping after DC Legacy. I have a 1000 point tournament this Sunday and I have been dying to play Sinestro Corps and was wondering if I could get some input on this idea of my team.

Arkillo (126)

Lyssa Drak (72)
Brilliant Tactician (20)

Superman Prime (318)
Fortitude (25)
Shellhead (10)

Batman (208)
Stunning Blow (10)

Sinestro (146)

Manhunter (64)

That's 999 points total. How do you think this will do? I'm open to all suggestions. Thanks for looking.

W/out repulser on Prime make sure that u keep him behind people so he does not get PB'ed.
BT may be a waste on Lyssa due to only 2 clicks on her dial
Don't forget that she looses TK after the first click and that she is a grounded person so u can have the manhunter taxi her around.
Prime should be your front end pounder.
Send in arkillo to finish them off.
Keep batman off to the side to pick them off one by one or to clean up once prime and arkillo are weakened.
You may want to drop off Manhunter and use Yellow Lantern. U can push yellow lantern to second click and have 18D defend to help your figures when they have taken a hit or so, or send him in to tie up figures.
Shellhead is a waste on prime due to he does not get the +2 to defense.
I would drop 10 of those points into AP for yellow Lantern if u go that way and also on Sinestro so he can start out with EE with AP with a high AV than later on in the dial.

At 1,000pts you may want more figures, even if only to gain the team bonus. Drop Batman and put in an additional three Manhunters. When you need to deal with a group of them they are effective.

Agreed about having more figures.
It's hard to drop any of those big guys, I know, but I'd drop either Arkillo or Sinestro (I know, he's the leader, but....) or Prime.
Batman is way too good for the points, and if he or Prime has to go, I say Prime should be the one to go. Bring in as many Manhunters as you can for tie-up and Outwit. Assign THWART on 2 Manhunters if your opponents use a lot of good Feats all the time, and get rid of them!

Also, Arkillo is 20 times better with some help on his attack.
If you do unrestricted, try to use ICWO and Vendetta on him, along with Lyssa's Perplex.

Arkillo is way too good for his points. His Flurry, Steal Energy and free Barrier all combine to create such an annoying piece that usually doesn't need to worry about pushing.

Prime vs Bats? Prime all the way. Batman cannot push, Prime can. Prime is able to use EW with one drawback...he needs to use Flurry! OW is all well and good, but the HSS brick that is Prime far surpasses the Batman.

I do like that Bats, but in a game that large I have to go with Prime.

I'm assuming you have the Crisis Sinestro. Though it boggles my mind as to why there isn't a Sinestro in the AA set.

My team is very similar.

Crisis Sinestro
Superman Prime
+ Fortitude
+ Repulsor Shield
+ Shell Head
Lyssa Drak
Sinestro Batman
Arkillo
Manhunters.
I believe, that whatever doesn't kill you, makes you stranger.

Shellhead on prime is wasted. He is not able to get the benefit from the feat.

Yeah, I don't have the team with me 'cause I'm at work.

Heck, I don't have the Sinestro Batman yet, the rest of the team is pretty much set.

We had a 1000 point game and I played:

Sinestro
-Brilliant Tactician
Lyssa Drak
-Brilliant Tactician
Yellow Lantern
-Spotter
Arkillo
Superman Prime
-Fortitude
-Protected
-Alias
-Unstoppable
-Automatic Regen
-Shellhead
-Lunge
Amon Sur
Manhunter

I pretty much rolled over everyone, until I played another Sinestro Corp team. Push Amon Sur and Yellow Lantern to their second clicks and you've got a potention +3 bonus. Prime is of course you big weapon.. his only real weakness is Psychic Blast, so if you have a repulsor Shield card.. play it on him.. Unstoppable on Prime lets him go through walls and still smack people.. lunge adds to his already monster move.. Alias and Protected keep him from getting smacked with the big Alpha Strike..

Prime CAN use Shellhead.. just not on his Invincible clicks

Shellhead gives +2 def to normal shield symbol
Prime has the indom symbol.

Aside from Shellhead being illegal for the aforementioned reason, this team also breaks the 10% feat cap...which is a GAME rule, not an Approved/Organized Play tournament rule (which means WizKids' dissolution doesn't really void it). But drop Shellhead and the overkill inclusion of Alias, and you're golden.

I played 1000 points of Sin. Corps, too, last weekend:

SR Sinestro 146 + Protected 8
Superman Prime 318 + Fortitude 25
Lyssa Drak 72 + Brilliant Tactician 20
Arkillo 126
Amon Sur 70 + Armor Piercing 10
Yellow Lantern 65
AA Manhunter 64
AA Manhunter 64 + Outsmart 10

I couldn't BELIEVE how well it did.
God is smarter than we are. Trust Him. ...
