There's actually a sanctioned WOW minis tournament (they call it Battegrounds) and yes, it has prize support. So if you want to join, try checking the NG Forums for the schedule.

Haha langhya. I just visited a tourney once. I'm not really that experienced with the game. My best party is a ragtag one pa nga lang e! But so far, this is what I gathered from the net:

- there once was a 1 rare, no epic restriction on our local tourneys but now it was lifted na to really open up all the possibilities on the armies

- the most recent winner of a major WOW tourney was a Monster Army featuring Lady Vashj (epic), Rethilgore and Crushridge Ogre. Now I'm not fully familiar with all the tricks of this party but offhand, I can see its firepower and speed in killing figs. Lady Vashj at first is deceivingly easy to kill with 11 HP but with low Armor and Resist but good luck doing that with her crazy attack. A 2 tick, 2-4 range, 5 physical(sword icon) OR magic(starbust icon) attack means she'll kill figs before you can even reach her. To top that, when she crits she'll make another attack (I think). Rethilgore takes that even further by lycantrophy, where he can "bite" Lady Vashj and give here a bonus to attack, resist/armor and speed! And yes, you have the Ogre to worry pa. Vashj and Ogre have the Shaman class so that gives them access to healing actions and Earth Shock (negates non-physical attack).

- But that doesn't mean it's the end of the road for other teams, from what I saw last Saturday I think it's still fair game for everyone. It's just that squads like Vashj are the easiest to figure out. Actually counters to it are starting to surface already. The perfect one (a non-hate team so to speak) is yet to come out lang.

- Try browsing through the WOW website (they have a good article list and provide realy good insight on how the tourneys go) and also locally, there's the WOW forum at PinoyTCG.com and the NG forums. The judge provides a well-detailed battle report, trust me.

Anyone have an extra Aleyah Dawnborn (with cards)? Yun yung parang graccus ng horde right? and Haruka Skycaller... iisipin ko pa yung isa sa gagawin kong team..

haha d naman javey, well lahat kasi naghahanap ng haruka skycaller na e halos kada bukas ng base set yan ang unang hinahanap ng tao haha

so far si allen naglalaro nito at si nico pati si javey bumili na ren ako ren meron... every wed ng gabi sa galeria ung tourney at saturday sa glorietta..

Yup tama si Pat haha conflict ang schedule ng WOW kung naglalaro ka ng SWM/Clix. Sana no magkakasama na lang lahat ng minis events in one venue (para matuloy ko na ang ultimate mini challenge, playing 3 tournies simul bwahaha!)

Harold, I heard meron ding free play tom night sa NG Glorietta para lang sa newbies. Aside from Allen, Pat and Nico, Ecchs and possibly Charlon and Marco will play na rin. WOW actually has a decent tourney attendance kasi most of the players I think are from the TCG. Don't worry about not having dice/dials kasi they allow pen-and-paper style to track your figs' life and ticks sa tourneys.
