Just re-reading Civil war - I got the version with the Mark Millar commentary (which makes dissecting the story interesting!). As always, reading comics makes me think of clix teams.

What team(s) might you suggest for different point values, representing different times/scenes in the story?

For that showdown in Issue 3 and Issue 4, I thought some good 500 point teams might be:

What other Civil War teams do you suggest? Not too feat heavy - feels gimmicky.

I played this "Civil War" era (more-or-less) Thunderbolts team at 600 points:

V Green Goblin (FForces) + Armor Piercing = 129
V MACH-4 + Armor Piercing + Thunderbolts = 115
Baron Zemo (AV) = 96
E Techno + Armor Piercing + Thunderbolts = 86
V Radioactive Man + Thunderbolts = 85
V Songbird + Thunderbolts = 74
Total: 599 ("Thunderbolts" theme)

To better match the comic, to get to 500 points, and to better satisfy your minimal feats, I suggest:

remove Green Goblin + AP (-129)
remove one other armor piercing (Techno?) (-10)
add Vet Mockingbird (as Joystick) plus Thunderbolts (+39)

You lose the "theme" bonus, but your only other option to match the comic would be to remove all the Armor Piercing and add Blizzard.
