Sinister Six, turn 12

"I couldn't have hit him that hard." Dwayne observes, as Rhino is staggered and reeling from his relatively minor shove. This guy stands there and takes punch after punch from Nova, but an unarmed Night Thrasher is the one to knock him down? Something didn't add up.

"Outta th' WAY!" Rhino blurts out, looking distinctly green in the face. His arms swinging wildly as he tries to clear some space around him. 7 vs 17, needs a 10. Roll (6, 6) for a critical hit on Nova. Nova takes 2 clicks after toughness and is knocked back to L11.

Night Thrasher looks away in disgust as Rhino loses control of his stomach and empties the contents of this morning's drinking binge all over the dock.

1) Hurled back violently from Rhino's last drunken swing Nova is nearly knocked out of the sky and only barely manages to cling on to his bucket. "Blue Blazes! Even I've got a limit! There's a lot if willing to let slide but I'm not going to let some drunken moron in a Halloween suit with serious barf breath put one over on me! Why don't you see how you like THIS!" Nova's form is suddenly obscured by brilliant blue light, burning with the intensity of a miniature sun before it's released straight at Rhino in a massive gravimetric pulse! Nova shoots Rhino. 7 atk. vs 14 def. Needs a 7. Roll is: (4,3) for a 7 and a hit! Rhino takes 1 and is KO'ed!

Caught square in the centre of the pulse Rhino staggers, blinks, shakes his massive head and finally manages to mumble "I....don't....feel....so...goood..." before he topples over, head first, like a giant red-fern, the entire pier shaking under the impact of his weight!

"Nova!" Dwayne shouts in surprise "How did you do that?"

Struggling to catch his breath after the massive release of energy Nova just scratches his head and shrugs "I...I have NO idea Thrash-Man... but... am I good or WHAT?"
