Everyone is raving about this guy, but I just don't see it. Is he a good support piece? Sure. But honestly, he's too easy to ignore. Let him push to his second click, in the meantime, I'm taking out the rest of the team. In 'Golden Age' with the proper feats (Nanobots, Triage) he's going to be a pain to KO. In modern age, not so much, especially with the high Attack values on the newer figures. Great sculpt, and great power set, doesn't worry me too much though. I still gave him a high rating though, because he's really good, especially for the points.
Trade to Canada. We're friendly, and we love Beavers..........

Neil Peart is the best drummer of all time. Period.

Year of the Spider-Man ---> follow along as I attempt to play Spidey (and friends) on every team for 365 days.

Agreeing with W.I.T. on this one. Yes he is always the last piece KOed, does he scare me? no he may live until it's time to deal with him.

If you do only one thing make sure you do it well. Atom really isn't going to be helping much in a fight but with really good odds somebody's getting healed 65pts isn't too much to swallow.

It's not difficult to keep him from healing if it's really a problem. He's very difficult to kill, but he will crumple fast under a lot of pressure. Of course, what do you expect for 65 points?

Amazing piece if used correctly, although I discovered that using him as a crutch in a timed match can end up hurting you. When I played against him recently, every time I did damage to my opponent's figures, he would hurry them back to the Atom to be healed. My opponent had set up Atom in such a way that with the characters I had I was having a tough time getting to the healer to take him out. It was starting to frustrate me before I managed to one shot of my opponent's relatively high value pieces. Unfortunately for my opponent, he had spent too much time healing his figures when he could have used that time to KO my figures--time suddenly ran out and I won on points. Still, very powerful figure.

Team him with the starter's Wonder Woman and you'll have created the Clix version of Team Fortress 2's medic/Heavy combo.

How does time "suddenly run out"? Isn't there a time limit on the rounds? And you're given time warnings ("10 minutes left" etc.).
Vulture: I'll drop you from the sky and watch you drop like a rag doll!
Spider-Man: And this'll be when? After Ock rips me limb from limb? Or after Venom eats my brains? Oh, I almost forgot; he also has dibs on my spleen...

Some judges announce "approximate time remaining" so as to combat clock-watching, i.e. declaring "approximately 10 minutes remain" when there are 13-14 minutes left, etc...

I know Norms follows this tact at the larger events (GenCon, etc...)

Oh, you know, one second you're sitting there playing HeroClix. The very next second, you're not. It's very sudden. BTW, I'm not really sure how my grammar merits its own response post in the units review section, but bless your heart anyway.

Right. Most venues do that (I don't recall anyone very telling me the exact time left anyway); I just know that I have "less than 25" or "less than 10 minutes" to finish off my opponent.

I was just confused as to how someone could lose track of the time so much that the game seemed to "suddenly" end.

I used him in conjunction with Green lantern in a game today, I lost tho =P.But he was the last player KO'd and he kept the Green Lantern alive for a long time, along with the green lantern's Green will power special ability (i love it). Needless to say, if played right, this figure can keep some otherwise Ko'd figures from being KO'd.

What!!!
The dumbest character I've seen in a long time.8 range, 10 attack incap make him a great support attacker and allows for you main attackers to retreat behind him in the early game.20D from range (which could easily be 21) and shape change make him a great waste of actions on your opponents team. They want to 2 hit kill him before he pushes, but they never will.Phase teleport 10 movement allows him to easily escape any potentially dangerous situation. What are they gonna do, with 13 attack? Roll an 8 and hope the shape change does'nt kick in? Camouflage and Heightened Reflexes make this piece a beast.Taunt is also nice. 12 attack healing and all that D for 65 is just too much for me.Too good.
