What year did WizKids release Shock the Turtle? Could it have been in a DC rulebook?

Shock the Turtle and King of the Hill are more like generic scenario types and i don't believe they have ever reprinted the rules for them in any of the official rules books.

King of the Hill is pretty self explanatory, get to the top of the hill stay there, win! Shock the Turtle has been around under one name or another in organized games, basically think of it as a small reminder to continue to advance towards your enemy(s) or be forced to pay the consequences

Shock the Turtle is a much slower version of Shock The Monkey. Ping of the Hill is a cover by Pennywise of Salisbury Hill. Neither one is as good as the original.
I am in awe of the cool and awesome people here on HCR!

WizKids began using Shock the Turtle in Heroclix in the summer of 2003. It was not created for a rulebook.

OK, thanks. I think Radiation Cloud first appeared in the X-Men: Danger Room Collector's Set a few years later.

Correct. Shock the Turtle was introduced by Wrich Printz at San Diego Comic Con 2003. At the time he was a Level 5 Judge.

At that time Level 5 Judge's didn't exist. (But Wrich Printz was a senior volunteer and would go on to be a Level 5 Envoy.)

I thought Ping of the Hill had 4 squares in the center and if only your pieces occupied them, you could ping a piece. So it forced people to the middle and to mix it up.
Catering to the lowest common denominator since Feb 2003.

Shocking a turtle is a lot more difficult than a monkey. It has a far more simplistic central nervous system.
