Deadpool arrives with a bang in Web of Spider-man, bristling with weaponry and ready to LEAVE ‘EM LAUGHING... OR DEAD, EITHER WAY (Running Shot). Opening with two targets, an 8 range and a very impressive 12 attack, the assassin only gets better with a front loaded Perplex boost. 13 attack? (Check.) 9 range? (Sure.) 4 damage? (Why not?)
(I’M COMPLICATED, what can I say?)
A naked 17 defense could be cause for players to push the Merc with a Mouth off his front click,
(Push me? I’ll push you! See how you like it! Now shove off!)
where he picks up Super Senses, and Phasing/Teleport for extra mobility. The threat of giving up life by pushing is softened by his trait which allows for infinite healing. Ridiculous Regeneration grants Wade a chance to reduce damage from ANY attack to 1, or better still, immediately heal a click. Buyer beware - unfortunate rolls may lead to extra damage dealt.
(Well, you can’t make an omelet without breaking a few Wades.)
It’s a good thing then that this Weapon X’er is COSMICALLY AND COMICALLY UNPREDICTABLE. Three clicks of Probability Control won't help him turn around a bad trait roll,
(I had a bad sushi roll once, the turnaround on that was messy.)
but it will come in handy on his last two clicks when he picks up OLD SCHOOL REGENERATION, helping Wade stay in the fight longer, or at least land those Flurry attacks.
Speaking of attack powers, Deadpool’s dial layout is a rainbow representing a bottomless bag of munitions worthy of an assassin. DP shifts back and forth between semi-automatic mode (Running Shot), sniper rifle (Ranged Combat Expert), C-4 explosives and grenades (Energy Explosion) and of course lest we forget THAT AWESOME SWORD MOSTLY ISN’T JUST FOR SHOW (Blades/Claws/Fangs). One power his previous Heroclix incarnation used that’s missing from this repertoire? Stealth.
(I’m dressed in bright red shouting pithy quips while I’m shooting at you AND exploding things! And you still expect me to be Stealthy? Sheesh. And people think I’m crazy...)
Point taken. Besides, as a Wild Card Spider-man Ally with the Martial Artist keyword, I suspect Mr. Wilson will team up with certain Gotham City vigilantes, circumventing the No-Stealth issue.
(Who haven’t I been on a team-up with yet?)
Deadpool’s eight keywords are as varied and colorful as his power set, providing options to the many ‘X’ teams, as well as lovable losers like the Frightful Four, and Great Lakes Avengers.
(Losers? There’s only two types of losers! Everyone who isn't me, and whoever I didn’t team up with this week!)
Like his comic book counterpart, Deadpool commands a high price for his kill skills. Weighing in at 158 points, the Merc with a Mouth is a substantial investment, though one that pays off with unlimited, damage reduction trait and combat values through the roof. He’s a team player with great support powers in addition to a Wild Card ability that should be a welcome addition to most force builds.
(Unless of course I'm on your opponent's force. Then I probably won’t be so welcome.)

OMG! I love this figure. It nails - absolutely nails - the character.
Great Lakes Avengers and Dead Pool Corps keywords! Oh yeah!
Not removing this until we get ROCKABILLY MODOK! ROCKABILLY MODOK! ROCKABILLY MODOK!

Pretty positive you aren't able to re-roll your own trait roll. Same as you can't reroll your own Super Senses (Opponents rolls on his turn, your rolls on your turn).
So, unless you're facing off MM Wrecker, you're stuck with what you get.

Are you ####ing kidding me?! I know that Deadpool is all the rage right now, but a 12 AV and 158 points? The powers are what they should be, but I completely disagree wth the AV and point cost.
Man i am loving the trait, makes me want to see wolverine with a trait for regen. I am not a big deadpool fan but i would love to play this character if i get one

gotta agree the 12 and the cost are a bit much. But I still love it!
