Totally agree, except for the new Thanos, as the last one we got is freaking rock hard. I really think we need a new cosmic set. We need Shi'ar Imperial Guard, Sh'iar generics, Skrull generics, Kree generics, the ORIGINAL Guardians of the Galaxy made/remade, new Gamora and Drax with updated keywords, new Inhumans...and okay a new Thanos.

Lots of potential for cosmic characters. And they could even include Iron Man with the Spacesuit version of his suit!

CarlosMucha: that is like be running in a Olimpic race competition just one step to get the gold and then a Giant children place a mirror in your side and you discover what you are really a hamster over a whell and the gold is just a slice of chess.

The World Championship is in the U.S. It's not restricted to U.S. players only. If you want to compete for the world title, just make the trip over and compete. If you can't afford to make the trip, then you can't compete for the title. That doesn't make it any less of a World Champion.

Years ago the only Grand Tournaments for Warhammer were held in the U.K. If we wanted to be the "world champion", we had to travel to the U.K. to compete. I made the trip once, and at least one of my friends made the trip multiple times. And yes, the years I didn't make the trip, I lost by default.

Could anyone who played this year tell me how much it cost for the weekend?
Really would like to go next year and see how well I can do because it's hard to judge when you play the same people every week.

I love the variety of ideas you've got for the new fig, and the talk of posters on here trying to steer you more toward new/updated Marvel cosmic stuff is pretty exciting.

What about you accidentally slip Bolt in there after the Black instead of Adam? just sayin' Been way too long, and there is no tourny legal Black Bolt, ya know.

Love the idea of new Magneto or the Void too, but a pretty good Sentry is already out there. Anyway, enjoy the opportunity to impact the game and be creative

Just have to throw one idea out there for you:
If you make Magneto, an X-Men TA Magneto would be awesome considering current events. He could have powers designed around incredible feats like pulling Kitty Pryde back from space (Some sort of SUPER TK) or maybe an advantage against Robot/Armor keywords to reflect his total annihilation of Nimrod bots! You could even do X-Men/Brotherhood dual TA! Gah, now i'm all excited.

Super TK could read like:
Magneto can use Telekinesis. Magneto does not requires a clear line of fire when using Telekinesis.
When Magneto uses Option 1 he can use it normally OR he can target any number of opposing characters possessing robot or armor keywords where Magneto, the targets, and the destination squares are each 8 or fewer squares away from one another.
When using Option 2, Magneto, the target, and the destination square must each be 16 or fewer squares away from one another instead of 8.

This would have to be a 200-300 pt magneto with this kind of power only once or twice on the dial...

Ok two ideas:
A Sentry/Void fig would be awesome too.. along same design principles of Black Adam/Shazam, except not peanut because it is the same dude...

Congrats on the win, I was surprised to see so many BA/CMs. Did you face any mirror matches (or similar teams to yours) and if so how did you approach them?

....I'm surprised that Metron/Thing team placed second, not because I think it sucks, but because I played that team for one of the Arkham tournaments (to get Harvey...had to have him). I've always kinda doubted my Team making abilities, but that kinda inspired me. Maybe I should have taken a shot with my Skrullojacket/Checkmate/Talia team, or my Valkyrie/Cheif team.

Ah well congrats again, and for the most part I like your list.

Take the inspiration and run with it man. Don't ever doubt yourself about ####. Hope to see you there next year, even if you built the worst teams ever, at lest giving them a shot whenever possible should be all you care about anyway.
