Admittly I would lean more in that direction. Clearly you are who you say you are and you are a bounty hunter after Megan. Being neutral means you will kill indisciminately, as evidenced by the Darqles kill. I have to decide if you will just kill willy-nilly in order to reach your goal, or if you will act in the best interest of the town.
Basically there is nothing keeping you from just targeting someone every night in the hopes of getting your target. That does not bode well for the town, numbers-wise.
well, so far the claims sound decent, so i will probably be more inclined to go after a non-claimed, quiet person. and those people are probably more likely to be mafia.
The only thing I don't get is the arrest thing in conjunction with the lynch. I don't think anyone has a grasp of it yet, so I don't think anyone is going to be able to explain it to me, except maybe the other cop, since Rokk was alluding, probably in the wrong direction, to having some insight. Though that was probably just him spouting fluff.
I don't understand what this "Arrest" mechanic is or where you're getting the notion of its existence from, but wasn't Rokk's character a policeman of some kind?
Putting two and two together, I'm guessing he knew much more about the "Arrest" mechanic than you think he did.
For those who know the source, would this Megan be a Town character?
no. she is one of the "trust", who are all pretty much scumbags. not that you'll believe me per se because i want to kill her, but.
ill give you lees backstory without quoting my role pm.
basically i was a family man. successful and happy. megan for no reason hacked my computer and put kiddie porn on it and ruined my life. well, not for "no reason". she did it because it "was fun". she is filthy rich and pretty much doesnt care about anyone but herself.
oh, and the arrest mechanic is in the rules. im betting a random voter gets thrown in jail. or, if you think someone is mafia you can tell me and i can take em out with my magic bullets. i have 99 left and i just need the one....
He had found his partner dead the night before. This morning, his boss had told him the investigation had been dropped and that Swirski had died of a heart attack. Bull####. Heart attacks don’t leave bullet holes behind. He didn’t know how that parolee had enough connections to get away with murder but he was sure as #### gonna find out.
The girl with the teardrop tattoo visited a church. A man in a trenchcoat entered behind her.
“Hector…I lied to you. I’m so sorry. I mean, I know I’ve been tellin you how much I miss you, an I do love you but…but…I don wanna be with you. Not yet.”
“Who are you?”
“You can call me Mr. Shepherd.”
“You work for Agent Graves?”
“We’re…associates. How goes your mission?”
“You wanna know bout my mission? Well I wanna know a few things, too. Like why you pick me fo your dirty work? I get the revenge thing, but what’s in it for you?”
“What do you mean?”
“Killin them cops. What’s it to you?”
“Nobody ever said anything about killing them. You were simply given some information.”
“Oh. So now don kill em? Look, you gave me a gun. That’s sposed to make it easy, right?”
“If it were easy, they’d both already be dead” the man in the trenchcoat told her, blowing cigarette smoke in her face. “Wouldn’t they?”
“So now I have to kill the other?”
“You don’t have to do anything. Nobody’s got a gun to your head.”
“Say I let this go, don do a damn thing…what’s gonna happen to me?”
“It’s already happened. The question is: What will you do because of it?”
“You mean losing my family.”
“You make it sound like they fell out of your pocket. Hector and your baby were murdered. There’s a difference. Lost them? Y’know, on one hand, you’re very casual about death.”
“No I’m not. I understand what happened, why it happened. Was payback from God for all the #### I’d done to people, for not carin, for bein evil.”
“Evil? And Officer Morgan, what is he? You can’t give it up, can you? The responsibility, I mean, for deaths you were powerless to do anything about. You needed an explanation, someone to pin it on, payback. It didn’t matter that the police had allegedly gunned down their killers. That wasn’t enough.”
“It’s not enough” the girl told him. “It never will be.” She sighed, angry at the man, angry at herself. “Do you believe in God?”
“I did. I do, I guess. I don’t know. I believe…I know…that everything happens for a reason. That’s something we share. You and I have never met before, yet we find ourselves on the same side. It may be hard for you to understand, but everyone is connected.” The man dropped his cigarette on the floor and stamped it out. “And I know who’s holding the strings. Graves gave you the real reason why your family was killed. You’re fighting it because it’s not the reason you chose to believe.”
“He didn’t give me no reason. He jus tol me who did it.”
“No. Like I said, you’re fighting it. The reason’s there. Look for it. You clearly believe in payback, so settle the ####### bill.”
“Dad. Man, you don’t give up, do you? Look, I tol’ you earlier”
“Well, things have changed since then. See, I don’ want to talk to you anymore…I need to. Got some heavy news.”
“Really? What makes you so sure I want to know the truth?”
“I’m working tonight. Say you drop by the bar, 6486 Yucca, roun nine.”
“I’ll see you at ten.”
The tattooed girl left the church, taking the gun out of her jeans. Payback. That she understood. But why? Why did Graves and Shepherd want Morgan and Swirski dead so badly? And why had they killed her family?
She turned and fired without even getting a good look at who was behind her. The man hit the ground, dead with a bloody hole in the center of his forehead.
“Smack? I didn’t mean to...I’m so sorry.” She put her hand on her friend’s face, pulling his eyes shut. “R.I.P.”
SilverLantern is dead. He was Smack, thief, amigo. (Town)
