Seems like the natural "ring" response from Marvel to the Lanterns we got in BatB, neh?
The only thing I found disappointing about the Lanterns (other than not managing to win them all) was the fact that nobody who doesn't have Super Strength can carry them. So each of these objects would be a special small object with the following rules:
Mandarin's Ring
Give a character occupying the same square as this object a power action and roll a d6. On a result of 4-6, remove this object from the game and place it on that character's card. If that character is KO'd, place this object either in the square that character last occupied, or an adjacent square.
Ice Blast - 5 pts: This character can use Barrier as if their range value is 4.
Mento-Intensifier - 15 pts: This character can use Mind Control as if their range value is 0. If this character has Mind Control or a special power that allows them to use Mind Control, adjust this character's attack value by +1 when using Mind Control.
Electro-Blast - 20 pts: This character can use Penetrating/Psychic Blast as if their range value is 6. If this character also has the Disintegration Beam ring on their card, adjust this character's damage value by +1 when using Penetrating/Psychic Blast.
Flame Blast - 10 pts: This character can use Ranged Combat Expert as if their range value is 6.
White Light - 10 pts: This character can use Incapacitate as if their range value is 4.
Black Light - 20 pts: This character can use Stealth.
Disintegration Beam - 20 pts: This character can use Penetrating/Psychic Blast as if their range value is 6. If this character also has the Electro-Blast ring on their card, adjust this character's damage value by +1 when using Penetrating/Psychic Blast.
Vortex Beam - 20 pts: This character can use Telekinesis.
Impact Beam - 10 pts: This character can use Force Blast.
Matter Rearranger - 20 pts: This character can use Exploit Weakness.
Cool idea, though for the points, I think a lot of them wouldn't see play time. I know I'd never pay 20 points for an object, especially one my opponent could use or destroy.
Another idea, would be the Infinity Gems, but make them like Mjolnir ---> 1 chance to use per game, and indestructible.
Trade to Canada. We're friendly, and we love Beavers..........
Neil Peart is the best drummer of all time. Period.
Year of the Spider-Man ---> follow along as I attempt to play Spidey (and friends) on every team for 365 days.

I sort of agree with this, but the rings are such a good idea that I still want to use them - how about in a planned scenario? That way the players aren't giving up vital team-building points.
Something where the judge places the rings in out of the way spots, (far corners of a 3'x3' map maybe) and whoever gets to them can use them.
