Okay boys and girls, here we have 128 of our favorite songs from the 70's, from some of our favorite artists, which will be pitted against one another, Match by Match, Round by Round, weeding them all out until they get to the FINAL MATCH, which will have our two favorite showtunes face against one another to see which one emerges as Grand Champion of our latest Rock Wars!

As always, this TOC should be voted using a very simple criteria, which song do YOU like more, which do YOU feel you would rather listen to, and which would YOU say is ultimately more deserving to move on. Easy.

Pretty basic really. Songs are matched up, you all vote on the one you like more, the winner goes to the Next Round, and we do this over and over again until the Rounds are Over. Is it just me or does it seem like we've had 80 Bowie songs in this?

Not to reflect any feelings on Bowie but "Man on Silver Mountain" for me.

Both are great songs but I have to vote for Man on the Silver Mountain with great respect and reverence to Dio and the memory of Dio.

Heroes gets my vote

I'll vote for Heroes, but I won't be too put out if Man on the SIlver Mountain beats it.

for the thousandth time on here I say that Ritchie Blackmore is one of my favorite guitarists and Rinnie Dio is just A-One cool. Bowie's Heroes is a great song and this one is really tough matchup with Man on the Silver Mountain. I do prefer the live version of Man where the band actually kicks it up a notch.

After some debate with my id, I'm going Man on the Silver Mountain, but if Bowie goes through, I'll probably vote for him next round.

Silver Mountain did nothing for me at all, Heroes rocked by socks all the way off.
