Brotherhood Vs Xmen anyone?
Is anyone here interested in a Brotherhood vs Xmen PBF? I would be willing to play either team. I would like to proxy figs from Xplosion (my main reason for wanting this PBF ) Anyways if anyone is interested I'd be happy to know. I was thinking in the area of 300-400 points, no dupes. Anyways let me know

I realize the Xmen got a ton more new figs than the brotherhood in Xplosion, however I think that whoever ends up playing the Brotherhood can use a few people who would be logical Xmen enemies, namely Sauron and Silver Samurai

That'd be a cool fight, though I've tried it before with some people and the BroHo's free move plays a pretty big factor heh. Especially if there are lots more figs than actions, which is usually the case since the X-Men / Brotherhood figures are (mostly) inexpensive.

Been meaning to try it again once Xplosion comes out with the new figs, although we'll probably just negate both team abilities, since we hardly use the X-Men one anyway.

I'll take you up on that Samurai.... I posted a set of teams in this forum already. (not that we have to use them)

I can play either side, though my preference is the X-Men.

And as far as I'm concerned... the bigger the better.

I don't think that the Silver Samurai was ever in the same story line as the Brotherhood, but they would have made good allies.

Of course Juggernaut wasn't ever in the Brotherhood either...

Cool somebody posted
The first few days nothing, I assumed no one was interested. I'll play you Kaizot. We need to decide a few things.

Points. I think we should do say 500.
Should we allow non Brotherhood/Xmen to be used if they are logical (Like Sauron). I am no comic book expert if someone could post which of them from Xplosion can be used I would appreciate that.

I prefer no Dupes and 300 or more points. I'll play Brotherhood.

Good, lets do 500 points.

I'm fine letting non-team figures in on the action. Sauron was definitely once a brotherhood and should be allowed on a team.

No dupes is what I prefer as well. I'd even say no generics, but I'll play with generics if you want them. Otherwise healing is a little one sided.

Alright... time to make another 500 point X-Men team!

My venue actually has two tourneys along those lines scheduled for the last week of april and first in May (the second is actually opening weekend for x-2). The first one you bring one of each team (the person who picks map also get's to choose which side they want to play as), the second you only bring one team of either X-men, Brotherhood or All Sentinels. Both are gonna have some really fun custom scenarios also.

We're doing 400 pts, and we decided for the x-men to only use members with the X-men team ability (with the exception of Vet Quicksilver, who is allowed due to his affiliation with X-factor...if Wolfsbane and Boom-Boom are x-men, he should be too). And, yes that does mean that Logan, U Wolvie and Weapon X are not allowed (niether is R wolvie actually).

Brotherhood was a bit trickier, if you use only actual brotherhood members, the x-men have a huge advantage...so we are allowing all X-villains to be a part of that team. This is important because the only Brotherhood member with flying is Magneto, by adding some of non-afiliated members like Mojo, Sauron, Deathbird, Apocalypse...the Brotherhood has a bit more of a chance. Also White Queen, Silver Samurai, Deathstrike, Spiral are allowed on that team.

The new X-men are really powerful, there also a lot of great fliers on their team so this really needed to be allowed to off set the advantage this gives the x-men.

I've tested out several 400 pt battles...the x-men do usually win, but the games are typically very close...I didn't use U's in those games either. Some of the Brotherhood Uniques woud have easily turned the tides. Should be a fun time...

As powerful as 4 100 point Sentinels would be (or a 200 and two 100), the Sentinels team is a little bit screwed versatility-wise.

Yeah...it is at a bit of a disadvantage. I don't think anyone using that team would win the tourney, but it would still be a fun team to play. That tourney is actually being run by a different judge, i'm running the two teamed one. I tried to come up with a sentinel scenario for the finals in mine...nothing worked out right so I gave up. I like that the option is open...with 4 sentinels if you did manage to get a capture...that would be some serious points.

One option is to allow them up to 100 points of MoE, Sinister Syndicate or MoD allies (one group only), to represent the Sentinels in that case being controlled by Doom, Zemo or Kingpin as appropriate. It's not especially unbalanced because you still can't have no-team affiliation (i.e. QTip), nor can you really have any powerful MoD figs.

Well Kaizot
Which of the two options do you prefer?

Allowing the Brotherhood to use some X Vilans like Mojo, Sauron, Deathbird, Apocalypse. Also White Queen, Silver Samurai, Deathstrike, Spiral are allowed on that team.

Or giving me 100 Points of a different Faction (MoD being my top choice )

I am fine with either of those options as well as no Generics (medics usually just prolong games).

Which would you prefer.
