Please sign on if you want Wizkids/NECA to make Silver Age an official tournament format for Heroclix. Silver Age means all feats and battlefield conditions are excluded, but you may use any Heroclix figure ever made. (EDIT:It will be Wizkids' discretion what Silver Age would be, but this is just one option for them to consider; ultimately we want Silver Age, first, no cardboard, second) Note: ATA's and Pogs would be allowed
Your opinion matters. WOTC created the Pauper (all commons) format online due to all of the fans who demanded it, so vote with your heart, your account, and most of all, your "dollars and sense" to make this game what we want it to be! God speed!

The beauty of formats is universal recognition. I believe house rules are too varied. If you say, for example, "we're have an MTG tournament, it's Extended format," everyone knows what you mean. It would be nice to just be able to say Silver Age, and have an instant recognition by everyone what you mean.
I'd rather have feats & BFCs with only modern figures.
What would that be? Bronze Age? Platinum Age? It needs an official unofficial title or it doesn't count!
As for the OP, my venue plays Silver Age; while I agree with your idea that an officially recognized format is generally easier for others to identify with, in this case, saying "play any figure, no feats or BFCs" is simple enough.
In fact, I prefer it as a house rule simply because venues should be encouraged to take control of their own events and run what they want as they want. If players continue to ask NECA/WK to make everything official, eventually they will. I don't want to go back to the days of WK dictating what every event should be. The venues know what is best for their own players, so let decisions like this be made at the local level. Keep the official formats for the big tourneys.
