So when did the Colossal rules change? The Heroclix site said at http://heroclix.com/blog/2011/03/17/...al-size-x-men/ that the "new rules" let you give a colossal a non-free action when they had 2 tokens... but when did it change to not allowing you to? I've still got the instructions for my original Sentinel and they say that you can do that (as have the other Colossals that they made before they called them Colossal), but I don't recall hearing that they removed that. Have I been out that long?
-Heroclix is not a game of logic, it's a game of strategy .... after all, when's the last time that you saw a giant (using a stealth ability) that was hiding behind a swingset... and nobody could SEE him????

Those were all rules that came with the previous colossals. The Colossal ability never let you do that, But the special rules for those figures did and were unigue to each Character. Now it is part of the colossal ability.

Oh, that makes SO much more sense. I couldn't figure out what they meant, but it's for the symbol in general, not just the special rules that were on the figures. Gotcha. LOL! Thanks for the clarification.

Keep in mind that the "Keep taking actions" ability of most of the former colossi was better than the new ability. It dealt pushing damage which could be avoided by willpower, power cosmic, quintessence, and your opponent being inattentive. The new, "everyone gets it" version deals unavoidable damage, which, as the name suggests, cannot be avoided. Except possibly by the inattentive opponent thing. : - ) We're expecting an errata to clarify that figures that have a better version keep their better version and aren't forced to use the new.

I do hope so. It would be lame beyond belief to nerf SCAM, Galactus, and the other colossals who could attack repeatedly before in order to justify the existence of the new figures.

It's become clear this rule change was designed to stop Apocalypse from being effectively a 500 point version of Galactus. Really tell me he wouldn't crush most 500 points teams if Apocalypse could attack every turn with out end. People would endlessly complain "he's broken" it's bad enough he can give the 1000 Dark Phoenix a run for her money but if he could attack every turn it would push him over the top. Dark Phoenix's only edge is Multi Attack yeah THANK GOD Apocalypse doesn't have that

(Speed) You Appear More Worthy: Once per game, give Apocalypse a power action and choose two characters: an adjacent opposing character not on its starting line and a friendly character on the map with a point value higher than the opposing character but lower than Apocalypse. The first character becomes friendly to Apocalypse and gains the Horsemen of Apocalypse keyword. The second character becomes friendly to the first character's force and is healed of 1 damage.
(Defense) Survival of the Fittest: Apocalypse can use Mastermind and Invulnerability.
(Damage) Centuries of Scheming: Apocalypse can use Outwit. Apocalypse deals penetrating damage to any characters who have a power countered.
(Special) The First Mutant: Apocalypse's powers and combat values can't be countered, and he can't be the target of Incapacitate. Apocalypse can use Plasticity and Shape Change.
Completely off topic, but I wanted to thank you for bumping threads when you move them. I've noticed not every mod does it and I wanted to thank you for it since it helps those of us who read the rules forum to know that a thread came from a different forum.

I'm glad it helps, it also helps alert the OP in the User CP that the thread hasn't been erased, just moved.

I don't think the errata is needed. The previous Colossals came with their own rules. I think those rules for the individual fig over ride the addition to the colossal ability. Alot like some new special powers override the pac sometimes.
If you play the older colossals use their rules, makes sense to me.
