I agreed earlier in the week to sell a person a couple of heroclix. He told me to wait until the end of a tournament to see if he pulled the pieces in sealed.
I waited and asked him if he still wanted to go through with the deal. He said yes and asked for my paypal address. I gave it to him and then later received a message saying he bought a single pack and pulled on of the the pieces. He asked if he could buy just the other figure. I said sure and gave him the price for that figure by subtracting the price for the other figure out of the initial agreed upon price.
He then responds that the price is too steep for that figure and now wants to pass on the deal.
Does this warrant neutral feedback? I turned down three other offers at shop my FLGS and on here. I honestly wouldnt be upset if he told me right away the price wasnt right, or didnt ask for my paypal and agree to the sale and then back out once he pulls the figures.
Yeah, I would agree. You were nice enough to hold them for him and turn down other trades while he tried to look around and see if he could win/obtain them.
I could go on, but I'd just be repeating what you said. And I think it's pretty official when you agree to pay someone and a Paypal address is sent.
I believe the rules are that a trade is not final until the buyer gives you his address. If he gave you his address and then backed out, then that's definitely worth neutral feedback. If he didn't give you his address, I don't think you have any grounds for leaving feedback.

I might agree with you if it was a trade. However, since this was a sale, they agreed on price, he agreed to buy the figure, and then asked for and was sent Mike's paypal address so that he could send payment. The buyer had multiple chances to back out of the deal and if the price was too steep, they shouldn't have agreed on the price. I would say that Neutral is warranted here.
It's like Michael Jordan going to the YMCA to play basketball.

FYI, I will be adding/changing some rules later this month to reflect this situation and other situations better.

Do you still have your PMs? If so, send them to a mod and see what they think.
Sadly I dont. I erased them this morning as a matter of fact. I thought the matter was dead. He put straight up lies in my itrader though. I hope he has the messages saved and is willing to forward them to a mod. Though one has already helped and changed my feedback for him to negative, and removed his from mine.
I wish I had them saved so I could show them here. His holding up of my pieces and then this childish incident have really made me upset with him.

Fortunately, this thread is probably enough to support your side of things. But yeah, would have been good if you had held on to those PMs. Battles fought, lessons learned. =)

See the only thing is that this thread is just my opinion and my side. If I had saved those pms he wouldnt have had a leg to stand on
