Advice on a new computer?
I am thinking about getting a new computer. Ideally, I would love to test HCOnline under the BEST graphic FPS conditions, but I am unsure of what I need. I realize, the designers haven't nailed down a Recommended System Requirements yet, but what should I be looking at for the best results?

I'd love a laptop, but I feel I would get more for my money with a desktop. Currently, I am running HCOnline on a Sony Viao, Intel Core2duo, with a Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family (?).Don't know much else about the current system. All I know is that after turning off all the bells and whistles on both the Options screen and on the ALT-O screen (during a match), the computer is still just a tad slow (doesn't prevent me from playing, but there is just the slightest of delays). And my processor runs very hot. My wife would like me to not break her laptop, thus the need to get my own. What has worked for you?
Heroclix is a strategy game with comic book characters where you can flip Two-Face's coin, badly impersonate Mark Hamil's Joker, and see if Batman had time enough to prepare when he is suddenly faced against a guy in yellow spandex, with claws. It is played by some of the nicest, most giving people on the planet that you'd want to share a drink with. That is why I play Heroclix.

I run it at max settings on my Core i7 920 processor, with a 2 year old graphics card (albeit a good one).

I think you'd really need a gaming spec laptop for it to run well. Most laptops tend to come with lower end graphics cards and the mobile processors just aren't as good as desktop ones.

This is true when buying a laptop make sure it does NOT have shared memory with the graphics card. Your best bet on getting the specs for a gaming computer are to go to www.gamestop.com or some other PC game website and check the RECOMMENDED system requirements for newest games.
Pretty much everything / anything about general heroclix is here.
