Multiple answers are ok, too. I'm trying to set up a 4-person, 8-person, and 16-person event.

TWO TOURNEYS SET UP.

Both are at 8:00 PM EST - one is tomorrow night, the other is Saturday night.

Both tournaments have no password, so just sign up. Please do so only if you can make it, we're not trying to test "losers who don't show up".

The entry fee is 100 CB and each event is for 8 people. First place should receive 400 CB, 2nd gets 200, and 3rd/4th get 100. If you are in any top spot, please stay logged into the system until the tournament ends (scheduled for 11:00 PM EST) or the prizes may not go into your account (yes, that's a problem, but it's known, so people should be aware).

Just so everyone is on the same page, are there any special rules we have to abide by besides the fundamental sportsmanship rule which is "treat others with respect" ?

What I mean is should we avoid using certain figures, certain powers, certain combos and tactics? Or is it pretty much whatever the computer allows is legal?

The prize is ClixBucks, something that I'm sure gets reset when beta is over, so it's not like it "counts".

For the life of me I can't understand the mindset of people beta-testing and playing like it's this all-important tournament to prove themselves.

Anyway, have fun with it is my advice. Let's not try to do anything crazy that breaks the way tournaments work, but things should work correctly.

a) As long as you're logged into HCO around 8:00 PM, you should be given some kind of prompt to go into a game. The exception to this is if you are playing a one-on-one match - as I recall, if you're playing a game (not in the Lobby/Store interface) then you won't be pulled out it to your tournament.

b) If you lose your connection, you should be able to come back into the game you were in the middle of.

c) I try to be on chat and here on this thread, so if folks are around and need some help, I should be here. That said, 8:00 PM EST is not my ideal times (hence, I'm not signing up to play) so my appearance may be spotty. Still, the more information I have, the better the developers can fix things. That means bug reports, communicating here, etc.

d) Anyone with double-box capability, I'm also interested in hearing what you see of the event if you are NOT participating in it. There should be information telling you who's playing whom and such.

I would join any of those tournaments, but those hours are prohibited to me, since my timezone is GMT (meaning I'm 6 hours ahead of most of you)...

I thought GMT was Mountain time. Where are you located?
