She did. I just watched a documentary about it and the ramifications it's had on our legal system as a whole last week. What had happened was that her nephew was driving and they went through a drive thru at McDonalds. He pulled into a parking spot so she could add her cream to her coffee. She put the coffee between her legs and it spilled, giving her the burns and injuries because the coffee was too hot.
She wasn't exactly innocent in this because she did spill the coffee. I think the jury put it at 30% her fault and 70% on McDonalds. The main reason she got such a large sum initially was to send a message to McDonalds and other corporations.
Wasn't that one of those 1 hour news program things? Think I flipped past it that night...
Also was supposed to get a package today, but they lost it -_-;

#### it. Now I'm gonna troll it like my name was Wade Wilson.
I walked down the street to a store with which I have a love/hate relationship. I love the convenience. I hate the fact that no one seems to know what they're doing, what is/isn't for sale, and that they've (many, not all) perfected the art of the blank retail stare. Anyhow, I went there to pick up my Thor FF, which I had reserved in person yesterday. I was told it would be in today. So, I go to pick it up today, and am told that it isn't in. I am also told by the person I'm speaking to that he's ignorant of the procedures, as someone else usually runs game stuff/ordering (of COURSE).
Now, normally, I'd figure that there was a shipping issue and that's that. However, looking behind the counter, I see three unopened boxes sitting there that weren't there yesterday, all about the size and shape of the boxes that FF packs come in. Now I could have brought this to the dude's attention, but I'm frankly tired of having to do people's thinking for them. So I walked out, and plan to hit up a store near my house which tends to sell things cheaper than the store in question.
Ugh. Just insane how inept the staff at this place is. VERY close to boycotting it altogether and just waiting for my funnybooks until work's out.
Pretty much why I don't buy anything from the venue where we play clix (other than sealed buy-ins). They've always treated the clix players like garbage but, unfortunately, they are usually the only place to get prizes. This time around the idiots didn't even ORDER Captain America...they "forgot". They finally got an order in but the stuff won't arrive until later and no word on whether prizes will be with it.
If they don't get prizes in, that will be a drag but I can always get those via trading (just rather play for them). Just glad I stopped relying on them for my clix for some time now!

Thankfully these people aren't rude, just largely clueless.
As for prizes, I've taken to ordering full sets if I can. Takes the pressure off of a game I try to use as a stress reliever.
We're getting so many Soldiers that I truly think there's a good team out there somewhere. Not sure exactly what it is and if it's a Soldier Swarm or if there's another combination that's better, but I believe there's potential there for it.
I had good luck combining GF Kilowog, Sgt. Rock and Checkmate Black Knights. I wouldn't be surprised if someone did put together an unstoppable force based on the Soldier keyword, that it would have some of those pieces on it.
