There's some great candidates for the key, but I'm thinking I don't care for these objects.

I would love to pick up the Gem, Mjolnir, and the Key all in one game. My Jerry Damage figures have a new mission.

Edit: And I know I can only bring one of those at a time, so it's going to be hard to pull this off outside of a Multiplayer game.

Fixed it for you. That pretty much sums up the best possible candidates to use the Scorpio Key, across the board.

I still like my Storm suggestion, as it plus outdoor terrain would just make her crazy good for her cost.

Unranged Brick figure X would be awesome that the key though as well...think one of those 12 attack figures 5 damage now gets 2 range and psychic blast...

I don't want to bother putting on a "Ranged Brick Figure X." I want to be a complete dick and put it on HoT Captain America. After that though, it would be fun to put it on Thor/Loki Duo.
