Just went to my venue on my lunch break. We are completely out of Cap. I did snag 2 shield specialist an adaptoid Mr immortal and Nick fury for 2 bucks. Ordered a sealed brick off eBay today
ON INDIANA JONES AND THE SCREENPLAY OF MEDIOCRITY:
I saw Temple in the theaters. I think I was 12 or 13: the perfect age for bad action films. It had action, a little sexual innuendo, and "horror" gory parts. No prepubescent male left the theater unhappy.
I grew up. (So to speak.)
I watched it on video and hated Willie as any intelligent being should and found Short Round annoying.
I branded Temple as the worst of the movies and I was right.
But, after viewing Crusade on video, I realized it wasn't THAT much better. It's got too much of what I call "Star Trek Humor" in it.
I prefer the tone of Raiders from start to finish. It's the same indescribable tone that Star Wars: A New Hope and Empire had before Jedi came along and ruined it and Special Eds came along and ruined it more.
When "The Umentionalbe" came along, I derided it when it was announced, and I've never seen the damn thing.
"Shut your eyes, Haven. No matter what happens DON'T LOOK AT IT!"
I've learned little bits and pieces from Matt and Trey and you guys here and never seeing the film is one of the best decisions I've ever made.
Having not seen the film, I truly can't make a comparison. But given what I DO know, Temple must look like Jaws compared to this stinking pile.

C'mon, it's got The Beef in it.
I unfortunately missed the boat on Indy somehow, and only saw the whole trilogy in my 20s.
Raiders - Fun!
Temple - Less fun, and marks Spielberg's foray into the "I'ma cast people I slept/sleep with in key speaking roles despite their obvious annoyance." And he cast Kate Capshaw.
TLC - I dug this one the most, though I chalk that up to the Arthurian/Holy Grail theme, for which I'm a sucker.
