4935 reviews: Absorbine Junior - a light beatstick for your moderate punching needs.
featuring STONEWALL
The young son of Absorbing Man has fallen in with the wrong crowd of do-gooders, but if you don't mind his lack of evil keywords, you can cause a lot more than 62 points worth of havoc with this surprisingly powerful dial.
And the fact that you can print out the "Unstoppable" feat to use anytime just got this Common Rookie added to my Twenty-Five Centers Hall of Fame.

Absorbing the Environment: Whenever Stonewall occupies clear terrain, he can use Toughness. Whenever Stonewall occupies hindering terrain, he can use Invulnerability.
Wow. I love this dial. It's the powers and raw numbers of a decent bruiser for such a low cost, with only one drawback: can you position him to always stay in hindering?
If you can, you won't pay less for these powers than his 62 points. Or how about making the hindering terrain follow Stonewall around? As the number of characters with easy access to Smoke Cloud grows (those who throw Smoke as a Free Action), so will Stonewall's usefulness.
There's something to be said for straight up Dumpster Charging characters. As a longtime Stealth-hater, it gives me a warm feeling inside to make Batman eat garbage.
Top tip: The Captain America set has lots of great combinations of characters with matching keywords, but also some theme-breaking combos: Falcon+SI Captain America, Doorman+Scorpio, and Stonewall plus Darkstar for constant Invulnerability. In fact, Darkstar should be in your "use all the time" box.
A team you didn't think of: Stonewall and three "bad influences": Vapor, E Clayface, and Plasmus (with Armor Piercing). 300 points of shape-shifting poison & punching. A fun team for when your Shape Change dice are running hot.
LOVE the series he comes from and really like his dial and how it plays. He's not too much trouble for what he brings, but Imperv-lite for those points is incredible.

Come play dollies at Brave New World in Newhall, CA. If you're not having fun, then you're doing it wrong.
Nice review. When I first heard that Stonewall was being made, I was very happy that Freedom Force was being rounded out. Instead we got the Secret Warriors. I will never play this piece because I want the Freedom Force Stonewall alot more.
Despite my apathy toward the Secret Warriors, this Stonewall is a great use of 62 points.
I am not removing this until we get the rest of the Marauders, Cameron Hodge and Genoshan Magistrates.
i played a team with a modok's 11 against a secret W/avengers team every one was OKed except Rocket Racer and stone wall and the only way i won was with pot shots after stone wall left hindering terrain. if the had stayed in hindering i could have only won with crits
When I played him, I never got the opportunity to put him in hindering and he still did awesome. He took out batroc and helped bring down crimson dynamo. Nice review!
Stupid me I had not thought of putting a smoke cloud under him for the added defense.
I was upset that he would loose mobility sitting in permanent hindering.
What a simple and great idea.
What is cool about him and other low cost SS figures can either charge in OR throw an object. Why try to hit Batroc up close with his 19 defense when you can throw a heavy object at a 17 defense. Plus if you hit him for 3 he looses his move and attack ability.
Shouldn't it be adjacency to walls/blocking that gives him Invulnerability? Smoke clouds and bushes make him harder to hurt?
He's pretty crazy for 62 points, I don't care about the Secret Warriors though, so I don't know if I'll ever play him. Maybe once or twice on a Gay Pride team.
