I'm not really sure that a fuel rod cannon should only give 2 damage. I would expect something more like 1 damage with RCE. The "penetrating EE" is interesting, but once again really doesn't seem like a fuel rod cannon. I also find it odd that a grunt has willpower (I would expect more of a special power allowing it to use willpower when x amount of y is z spaces away). Higher damage values without penetrating damage seem more in line with what it should be. That said, it appears fairly playable as long as you don't mind the random chance at penetrating (I'm sure a lot of people will be turned off by that). Though I have no idea why the defense goes up at the end.

Fuel Rod cannons are weird in the games though. They're not like Rocket Launchers where it's an auto kill. Sometimes you get a great shot, but sometimes you pummel opponents with the fuel rod and they run away scott free. The randomness of this power seems appropriate.
Willpower on a Grunt though... not so much. It also bothers me that none of the Grunts in the set are commons.
Spent 40 bucks on one (don't ask why). Just know that he wins the game for me. He stands alone and takes down all who dare face him. He is Grunt, Killer of Superman, Hulk, Supergirl, Shehulk, Daredevil and many more. Black magic.
If you think about it the ability makes complete and toal sense. Say usually the rocket blows up next to you and does the two damage... If you've played Halo that will make sense to you. BUT if it were to actually hit you (doubles) then it would do the damage and then the explosive rocket would leave the aftershock damage (penetrating 1) after the actual hit.
I hope to get this piece, passed up on one because there were a few more valuable pieces available, but now I wish I got it.
Play very well with a few other Grunts to get the attack bonus. The 2 damage is a big deal compared to the 26 pt version Grunt, even if the special doesn't happen much.
I'm so glad they used some of the old Halo Actionclix sculpts for these figures. This one brought back the time one of the players in our tournaments threw his across the room after I sniped it for 8 damage with Master Chief carrying the Sniper Rifle. Fortunately for him the kid he hit was willing to give it back. I kind of wish it had the knockback power the Actionclix ones had, but oh well, right?
