With the JLA coming out this week, the New 52 officially kicks off.
I'll be picking up JLA to see how it starts everything off.
And I'm buying Nightwing, cuz I like Nightwing.

But everything else is up in the air. I hope this works out well for DC, I'd like to see them succeed and tell good stories.

It's going to be a train wreck, but I am mostly sticking with what I already have in my saver box list:

I was kvetching with the best of them when I first heard about the reboot, especially since the whole 52 Earths opened the door up for not having to do this. I do hope they succeed, and my initial pull list of 4 or 5 has gone up to like 12 now. I'm sure I'll pick up more, but bringing Liefeld on board, letting Lee run amok, ending the Stephanie Brown Batgirl, and pulling the JSA out of continuity makes me still want to protest a bit with my dollars.

Ones I am definitely going to try out:
Nightwing, Blackhawks, Justice League, The Savage Hawkman (would have tried the Gentle or Rational Hawkman too, but I guess there can be only one), Captain Atom (yay!), Red Lanterns, All Star Western, and Birds of Prey.
Oh yeah, I forgot resurrection Man, which was the first one I signed up for! Loved the old series, looking forward to him popping back into the DC world.

My shop has a deal, so I am buying one of everything. And then, we'll see.

Which is strange, as the buzz from DC is that this book is where you'll find some scheduled guest appearances by familiar JSA characters. I'd have thought the large hardcore JSA fan contingent* would be all over this one.

I'm on the fence about JLI...I didn't enjoy Dan Jurgen's *last* run on JLI/A, so I'm not sure I want to spend any money on this one.
