Okay I pulled the leader today and he is one of the ones I didn't want (It took me all day to figure out who he was. Now I think he is the one from the Hulk cartoon. WTF?) Anyone got any ideas how to use him best ?or trade for Apocalypse, Phoenix, Lady Deathstrike or Sauron
thanks
You don't know who he is? The Leader has been one of the classic Hulk villains ever since the character's creation. He's responsible for the only use of a Gamma Bomb on a civilian population in the Marvel Universe, and has put the Hulk & Banner through more psychological torment than anyone (other than maybe the Maestro).
Now, I have no idea how to best use him for Heroclix, as I haven't had a chance to play with him yet. But he's got a long, and respectable history, that has a lot more to it than the cartoon.
He is one of my fav marvel villains him and red skull. he is pricey but willpower and MC is a good combo. you're lucky for pulling him. i really want hulk and the leader those are who i want most.
I'm not sure how I like the figure's abilities, but he is certainly not a *total* waste of space. Just remember the willpower+mind control. You can taxi in, MC a guy and push him to help you. Your opponent clears, and then you can take control of the same guy again (so your opponent will have to push him) or get someone else and push them. Then have your taxi carry you away as you laugh diabolicaly.
Do I think he's a bit expensive for this trick? Yeah. But it can be a nasty trick to manage to just continually rob your opponent of his actions. Good luck in trying him, I think he might be worth it.
I used The Leader in a game vs. The Savage Hulk and came out on top. The trick is not to use mind control on The Hulk because you will take damage to yourself if you do. Since I couldn't damage The Hulk by directly attacking him, I always used Incap on him. Willpower helps a lot to ensure that you get 2 turns vs. his one, unless he pushes of course. Perplex your attack as well if you think you need it or perplex Hulk's defense down. The key, however, is to make sure you are always attacking at long range. In the end, I defeated The Hulk and got the AE points for it.
That's a game winner for sure...402 points..whoo! Incap and willpower is really sweet. It'll tie up the hulk while your other 100 points can wail on him.
