Welcome to the newest game courtesy of Gargantua and flyingicarus. We've enjoyed our big games so much that, with the addition of so many new figures, we've decided to expand. Here we have two concurrent games, three rounds each going to 7500 k for each game. Any character can be used once, period. Feats can be used three times in each game.
We've also established two teleportation portals on each player's side. The teleporters in our starting areas can only teleport to that player's other teleporter. Each player's second teleporter, the one farthest from the starting area, can teleport to either that same player's starting area or the opposing player's teleporter that is farthest away from their starting area. Teleporters can be used once per turn. They cannot be destroyed but if based by an opposing figure that teleported figure must stop and either break away or attack that basing figure.
And, as we often do, one of our favorite eternal themes: Marvel vs DC.
So since I'm starting the game I'd say let's each start a map. This time the Marvel teams pick maps, deal? The Marvel side gets initiative, too. Fair enough?
"Creepy or not, this is where we have to be. This is where the fate of our universe will be decided," Green Lantern said.
"I don't mind saying, I'm feeling a little out of my league," Captain Metropolis said. "I mean I'm just a normal guy who dresses up in a cape to fight crooks. This saving the universe stuff..."
"You'll be fine," Hal put his hand on the Captain's shoulder. "I know another man who fits that description, and while I may not always get along with him, believe me, there's no one I'd rather have covering my back during a fight. Don't underestimate yourself."
"I thought you preferred me covering your back," Carol said, running her hand down his arm.
"EEEK!" Gleek said, covering his eyes.
"I agree with that...creature. This is not the place for such displays," Extant said haughtily.
"I am a Star Sapphire," Carol told him. "Love is what I fight for."
"I hope you're right," Captain Metropolis told Hal.
"Always hope," Saint Walker said. "All will be well."
"Nok tak," Indigo-1 said.
"What'd she say?" Zan asked.
"The Indigo Tribe speak a language all their own," Saint Walker said. "We may not know what they are saying, but I will gladly fight with her by my side."
If Ice-Hulk comes out before you return I might exchange my present Iceman for him. Just sayin'....
There have been so many "alternate" versions of characters of late, particularly Spidey, Cap and Superman and now the Hulk and Hulked Out Heroes, I'm inclined to say it's okay to run both the basic the variants both, as long as the variant's noticeably different.
True enough but I probably won't be going that route. As fun as playing a Thor and a Frog of Thunder might be I will probably stick to one version of a character. Even with three games there's just too many figures to play.
This is yours to respond to next. So far no IceHulk to be found....
