GF Punisher is a very good Punisher that actually feels like you are playing the Punisher.

I think the new Fantastic Four figures, while nice to have, are completely underpowered. Wolverine could have used the healing factor and had a higher point cost, while Spider-Man should have been an efficient lower point figure. Joe Fixit disappoints me with the low defense and too many 2 damage clix.

Oh hell no !
I love a Wolverine in the 70ish point cost. We already have two of them in the 100ish point cost, and they only have 6 clic of life or so ??? This wolverine is waaaaayyy better with his standard regen and a low cost. A Wolverine figure is far more impressive and feared when it is a low cost effective piece than a high cost fragile one.
I'm so happy they made a figure that can compete and replace the wonderfull Fantastic Force Unique Wolverine !

I agree that we could use a lower point Wolverine, but not at the expense of him not having a Healing Factor trait. Wolverine does not need regeneration as a standard power if they give him a Healing Factor. As a 70 point figure in modern age, the 15 defense with regen does not cut it anymore. As a 70 point figure, he stinks. Look at SI Iron Fist and tell me how Wolverine is good at 70 points.

This particular Wolverine is part of a team. More specifically, a team called The Fantastic Four. The team with the Alternate Team Ability that allows team mates to use a higher printed defense value if neccessary.
So keep Wolverine close to another team mate to share the defense and 15 defense won't be so bad.

If he's played with X-Men, just heal him with the TA.

So I guess what I'm trying to say is, I don't think he sucks for 70 points!

I like this 70 point version

11 attack with 3 damage and EW is always a dangerous start to any dial.
He also has a few options on upgrades like FF defense, X-men healing, and +1 attack trait.

Personally I feel that you could make the most effective teams from 70 point characters like this. It is probably most most favorite point range.

This Wolvie might make my list of favorite 70ptish characters.
Elsa Bloodstone, Gamora, Iron Fist, Smokey Cap, Winter Soldier, Oots Bats, Nightwing, Robin, Zatanna, Icicle, Lyssa Drak, Mademoiselle Marie, Red Arrow and Green Arrow
back in the day: Deathbird and Human Torch.

That list of awesome characters is the reason why I do not like this Wolverine. There are many others in this point range that could make the list. For me, this new Wolverine is not one of them.

I am having a hard time with the fact that Spider-Man is a higher point character than Wolverine on this team. The point values should be reversed and the dials should reflect the new point values.

Thanks for continuing the show! I really enjoy listening to your episodes.

As for Fantastic Four #600, I wasn't impressed. I feel the revelations of Reed's dialogue and Johnny's final nova blast against the hordes of Annihlus should have been shown in FF #589, not a year later after fans complained how anti-climactic it was.

And when did Johnny learn Spidey's secret identity? If it was before "Brand New Day" should he still know it?

Johnny learned of peters identity since brand new day. It was in an issue of spiderman the FF guest stared and they all went to the microverse. Johnny kept trying to figure out why he didn't know spideys real identity despite the fact his number was in his phone as his best friend. Or somthing to that effect. By the end of the story Pete revealed it to them again.

Thanks, Gudda!

Did the FF originally learn it in Civil War along with everybody else or had they known before that?

Those criticizing the new clix seem to be ignoring that this "Fantastic Four" teamup happened in the early 90s in comics. These characters are experienced but should not be as powerful as versions that are based on modern sets.

Personally I appreciate when the game designers take the timeline into account. One of the downsides of power-creep is that I have a collection with Cyclops and Jean Grey in their X-Factor outfits weighing in at 40-50 points (X-Men Starter) and then I have them in their First Class outfits that Professor X lovingly sewed for them and they are about the same amount of points but are stronger on the tabletop.

I know, tournament scene-retirement blah blah, but some of us like to use our toys
