Arwen's part in the movie was more or less from the appendix at the end, from my understanding Jackson didn't so much insert it into the story as put it back where it was originally intended to go. That said you are correct that it wasn't Arwen who washed away the riders, it was Elrond and Gandalf directing the magic of Rivendell. Inasmuch as Arwen was part of Rivendell it was her doing, but that hardly means she did it.
Eowyn should also be much better than her click is. Frankly I think her dial is the least accurate of the bunch. Support makes very little sense on her, and there's no way that figure will ever take down the witchking, even with pippin's help.
I agree, her click should be better considering that she took down the witch king.

Agreed, although I think it would be hard to do justice to the witchking and give Eowyn a shot at taking him down.
On the Support issue, I think it makes so little sense that even Regeneration would be better. At least she recovers in the Houses of Healing in the books and movies. But I don't recall her healing anyone else in any way.
That's Absorbing Man, btw. But I do love my abs, too.
I think the biggest thing to hold against this set is that the Fellowship comes out to 650 points. They really couldn't work those numbers to bring us a team that I can play without feats? Almost every tournament I'v ever played had a point values at an interval of 100.
Not removing this line from my signature until we get Killer Moth (12/17/12).
Missing IC Remakes: Whirlwind, Constrictor, Controller, Boomerang, Blizzard, Puppet Master
I know Arwyn didn't do the magic in the book, I was talking about the movie. It's speculative in the movie that Gandalf had any hand in that because they didn't explain it like in the book. It was a major difference that I noted in watching. And I don't think she should be there instead of Eowen, but right along with her. I just think a second female character would have been cool. Give the lady players something eh?

I agree on all points except for the Keywords.....C+ and F for Team abilities.
Street Fighter got a weird new team ability. They could have done the same for LOTR. The keywords should have had a few specific lands or areas mentioned to give some characters unique team building options. Gondor to unite the brothers along with the soldier keyword. Shire could have been one. Mordor would have made more sense than forces of Sauron. All the bad guys are forces of Sauron... LOL. Much like in DC where they chose to use cities for most characters, I felt the same could have been done for LOTR. Team abilities just seem normal too, no team abilities for everyone seems wrong. They are great pieces either way, and I hope people support this addition to hero-clix.
The main point to that is that DC is way bigger in characters than LotR. It's only a 21 piece set. I think that might be a bit of keyword overkill for such a small set. Even if there's another set made or a much fuller set made in the future. Maybe then..

There's some great stuff regarding this set. The combination of maps with special rules, epic games, horde tokens, and the suggested campaign make for a much greater variety in play possibilities than you'd expect for such a small set.
Personally though, I can't rate the sculpts that high. I suspect that I got spoiled by the sculpts from the combat hex game put out by Sabertooth Games some years ago. They had some really top notch sculpts.
I do also wish that there was some way to build the Fellowship so they came out to an even hundred. The same goes for the Ringwraiths; the Witch King should have been beefed up more (and given a Mystics-type ability) and been an even 200.

It's just that's not very thematic. While the Fellowship was together, they were pretty much on their own.
No stack of Riders of Rohan to help them out while in the Mines of Moria.
(Although, the orc tokens are great for representing the other side of that.)
The only problem I had was with the case itself. There were four mini-bricks of 6 boxes in each. I bought three of them and asked my friend the ower of the store to hold the fourth until Friday. The three that I got initially were wonderful! Got the whole fellowship including a dup of Gandalf the Grey. I was missing, out of the Common, Uncommon and Rares, Ugluk, Lurtz and Gollum. I also didn't get a Saruman which would have been nice. I didn't get any of the super-rares but that did not matter to me. I was expecting to get the rest of the C/U/R figures in the fourth mini-brick. Alas, this was not the case... the rest were duplicates of Aragorn, Gimli, Gorbag, Merry and Faramir. No Gollum! :-( No more buying for me. I will hopefully get the rest through trade.
