Lord of the Rings: Crossover Campaign!
AND THE FREE LANDS SHALL FALL!

Sauron invades the universes of HeroClix and no place is safe. Marvel, DC, Street Fighter and even Indy are under threat of annihilation by Sauron’s forces. A new series of fellowships must be formed and in these two campaigns, I’ll tell you just how to do that. So gear up, grab a member of the Fellowship and let’s go get some allies!

I’ve created two campaigns, a basic campaign and a multiplayer format.

Basic Campaign
Half of players will need to play 700 points of Sauron’s forces or at least have one representative of Saurons forces with evil characters from both Marvel and DC. Others will choose one member of the Fellowship and build a themed team of 700 points. Custom Keywords are okay, but judge has to accept them as always.

The Setup: (Note: not too many people will have pieces from all the five universes I pulled from, so Marvel and DC are all that’s required)
My fellowship choice was Gandalf and I formed a five man team of Mysticals with one from each of the five universes I mentioned. I played Gandalf, Dr. Strange, Green Lantern (Alan Scott from 75th), 100 point Dhalsim, and 125 point Hellboy (from the box set). Total points: 674.

Sauron’s Team: Sauron, Black Rider, Mouth of Sauron, Servant of Sauron, and Captain Lurtz. Just to be more evil I gave them the Gem of Cytorrak (and Lurtz picked it up on the first try). Total points: 689

Sauron was the last figure standing with no damage taken.

Major/Epic Campaign
Warning: This will be a long campaign.

The point scale is 1400. For the players, that is divided amongst them as evenly as possible. Ideally, each team should have the same build style as for single play above. Players may make a backup team in case they are wiped out (if you want to give them that option). Otherwise, characters that are wiped out are out of the game, same goes for players. You will want to give a couple of options.

These teams are out to take down Sauron, but he’s already corrupted some villains and there is a ladder of challenges to meet, each at 1400 points. Teams must finish a challenge completely and resolve rewards before moving on to the next challenge.

Take a look at the photo. You will want more map space that I have here, but what I did is more for photo’s sake than play. So, using the photo as an example (and yes, I know Foom is 200 points short, you can add to him). Players must first face Foom and any forces with him, defeat him completely and resolve rewards for any characters or players left before moving on. What are the rewards?

Any characters left may have a single special regeneration roll without the -2 penalty. If you allow a backup team in reserve, players may replace defeated characters with one from their back up (must be equal or lesser point cost). The new character is put in base contact with a member of their team. Characters may regroup to a new starting line, or you can just have them continue from where they are.

Special ruling: See Onslaught in the pic? If you use him for the enemy forces, then no one may play Prof. X because he’s been corrupted.

This is a campaign you could really have a lot of fun with and I hope you’ll try it and let us all know how it went! Aaaaaand ACTION!

I like this kind of scenario! Maybe I'll try this out at home with the kids and see how they like it.

Indeed, I hadn't even considered Watchmen, but then I don't have them

Great team. There are lots more combos than many may realize.

@Imbalance haha I love that; "PUNCH A STARSHIP" you need to make that your signature.
if I had a dollar for every time I thought about heroclix, I might have enough money to keep up with the NECA's Clix release schedule.

That is awesome!!! Great thinking outside the box. Although I will have to disagree with you on one point, I'm pretty sure that most people on this forum will have clix from all the different worlds.

This is pretty funny

I keep joking about throwing Punisher into the Fellowship.

"You've got my sword."
"...and my bow."
"...and my axe."
"...and my AK-47!"
Favorite DC read: Demon Knights
Only Marvel read: Avengers Arena
POWER GIRL OR BUST!!!
<-- This summarizes my thoughts on the release schedule.

What are the rules on epic actions? are those allowed in play against figures from other sets?
This is a game about comics. Put down the plastic figures and read one. Then pick up the plastic figures and have more fun.

700 Point Fellowship crossover team:

Martial artists unit:

Legolas
Evil Ryu (for the purposes of the campaign he will be not so evil)
Nightcrawler
Deadpool
Nightwing (crisis)
Batman 75th Dick (but he is from the future)

700 points even.

The fact that Nightwing will be hanging out with his future self fighting in middle earth amuses me more then it should.
