Post the last team you played 2012
Hey all!

The old thread was getting pretty long, so time to start a new one.

Simple rules-- post the last team(s) you played. Like "post the first 10 songs on shuffle" type threads, no fudging-- just post what you played and the format where it was played.

Optional-- as short or long a battle report as you like.

Old thread here, for reference:
http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/showthread.php?t=293938
GSX and more for sale-- virtually everything in the set!

I played -

115 Joe Fixit
65 Punisher (pistol)
65 Punisher (SMG)
55 Bruce Banner

65 Punisher Sniper on standby

This was a 300 point sealed team. I pulled all three Punishers from 2 boosters. I'm 3-0 with this team.

Wow! Over 2,000 posts on the last thread! Way to go! Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get to a game in a couple of weeks (Not for lack of trying by my friends!)
I hope to get back soon with news of how my usual unique (weird) team-building has fared against some excellent opponents.
Soxolas, you will be greatly missed, my friend.

I'd love to have you and some of the guys over to my house some weekend if you'd be willing to come out to my neck of the Illinois woods.

Last night I played in a single-elimination tournament

I played:

AN033 Isis 94
AN023 Osiris 101
OR079 Shazam! (R) 105

Wanted to play Shazam! because a. I'd just gotten the dial, and b. I modded a KC Shazam to go on it (found here)

1st round:

Played against:

SM010r Supergirl 100
CA061 Capwolf 100
SVF008 Thundering Blow 20
LOTR202 Strider 70
CAS101 Scorpio Key 4

My opponent relied on getting the key with Supergirl (he had a Horrorclix Velociraptor on the dial, which was mildly amusing), but it was not to be. I used those turns of inactivity from Supergirl to activate Shazam and sling Osiris out with a heavy object. Osiris missed Strider with the heavy, but the next turn Shazam connected for 6, putting Strider on his last click. Supergirl used Running Shot on Osiris, but I made the Impervious roll and hit her for 2. Capwolf and Strider were hanging back doing nothing, and this gave me a chance to finish Supergirl. Isis charged up and KO'd Strider as Shazam ran back for the light object, and the next turn Isis and Osiris both shot at Capwolf. Isis missed, but Osiris hit, and Shazam came in with the light to finish it. W 294-0

Second round:

Played against:

HA100 Thor, Frog of Thunder 72
FFF005 Double-Time 5
AWF007 Armor Piercing 10
HA049 Ultron 174
AA004 The Question 37

This team is disgusting. To make matters worse, my opponent had promised to never play this team against me again, in return for me not playing Crisis Darkseid and AA Per Degaton against him. Let's just say I got crushed. This team easily beat mine, and my dice didn't help matters either. This was the end of my tournament run. L 0-300

I played another game with the same team, but I forgot what I played against. I won it, however, with Shazam on his 1st Outwit click and Isis on her 2nd to last click, with Osiris KO'd.

Also last night, my Shazam won our local Heroclix modding contest, so I got a golden bookcase special object and a Skrull Black Bolt for that, and a Maj. Glenn Talbot for placing 3rd in the tournament. Overall, a great night!

I played this:

Build
83 CA040 Captain America
78 CA051 Scorpio
71 CA047 Dirk Anger
63 CL2-11 Nick Fury
295

Went 2-1. Only lost to an Eradicator because I missed 3-4 attacks against him once he got on HSS (was rolling 10 or 11 attack vs 16-17 defense... grrrrr).

Again played my Shadowlands team
of
Mystic Daredevil
White Tiger
Black Tarantula
Hand Ninja
Gold Kryptonite
Globe of Infinite Knowledge

Fun team, but I've played it three tournaments so time to retire it for awhile

This time I went 0-3 after going 2-1 in 2 tournaments and winning on points.

Played in a unique format....300 Point Silver Age. All figures had to be either Lord of the Rings figures, or you would need one figure with the Ruler keyword on it. So I chose this:

Daredevil (Shadowland) 93
Psylocke 74
Iron Fist 70
White Tiger 58

As a bonus, this gave me a Martial Artist theme, so +4 to map bonus and to start, and one Theme Team Probability Control. I also used the Shadowland map...it fits my playstyle and my team very well. So...

Round 1

Faced off against a team of the Witch King of Angmor, and LOTS of pogs! Iron Fist was invaluable as his Flurry was killing the swarming stack of pogs one by one. The Witch King suffered an onslaught from Iron Fist and White Tiger, before Psylocke finished him off with her Psychic Blast special power.

1-0

Round 2

Faced off against one of our cooler local players, who is actually very good. He was fielding a team of the new Black Panther from CA, Peanut Cap, and Bucky Cap. He won map roll so he went on the Helicarrier. He moved his guys into position, and then attempted to Running Shot Psylocke with Peanut Cap (which thankfully he missed). Next turn, White Tiger Perplexed Iron Fist's damage from 3 to 4, Psylocke then pushed to TK Iron Fist to Peanut Cap, Iron Fist Flurried on Peanut Cap, and ended up One-shotting him. White Tiger then based Bucky Cap, and Daredevil ended up basing Black Panther. Between subsequent attacks on Panther from DD and Iron Fist, then White Tiger getting to her good clicks, round 2 was in my favor.

2-0

Round 3

Faced off against a team of Red King and Earth-1 Superman...oh, and a Gamma Bomb.....THAT'S RIGHT....a Gamma Bomb! He moves Red King and Supes into the arena portion of Shadowland, I move Iron Fist, White Tiger, and Psylocke, DD stayed back (I couldn't make one Leadership roll with him today!). We meet over by the throne area where E-1 Supes lays the smack down on Iron Fist with an object, dealing 5 clicks. But Iron Fist hung in there, flurrying on Supes. In the meantime, the Gamma Bomb actually DOES go off, but the only person to suffer the damage was Psylocke, which put her on her Psychic Blast clicks. E-1 Supes went down by the hand of White Tiger, DD mopped up and eventually finished off Red King, ensuring that I won the 3rd round.

3-0

Prizes were good as well, I ended up with a LE Black Bolt, along with other assorted goodies. This team did A LOT better than I expected, the fact that there were two Mystics on the board with Iron Fist wild-carding DD's Mystics Team ability swayed things in my favor. And the Alpha-strike capability with Psylocke TK'ing either Iron Fist or DD was amazing! All in all, a good day, and a good week, as this is the 2nd tournament I've won in 2 days.

Squirrel Girl
GSX Domino
+Alias
GSX Mystique
+Camouflage
HLK FF She-Hulk

casual game with a friend
trying to come up with teams for an obscure theme team tournament.

Played against my friend's "Guys with Bows" team
Ult Vet Hawkeye
JL Merlyn
Legolas
+alias
LE Roy Harper Jr.

Played on the Outdoor Battlefield LotR map

basically I spent my time hiding in stealth, or hiding mystique next to a wall while monkey joe tied up the ranged pieces and even got in a hit on Hawkeye. I took out his entire team losing only She-Hulk in the process.

My first entry is an easy one:

Cosmic Hulk

Format was 300 points sealed Hulk (for the Adam Warlock figure). I went 3-1 and was 30 points out of second place, a minor bummer.

The round I lost, my opponent hit a crit with Blades, rolled 5, and also hit a 6 with Blades. I was destined to lose.

Played a 1000 pt Silver age team tonight.

Scientist keyword team

CA Maelstrom
WoS Researcher
SN Doom
HGF Leader
SI Psycho Man
AA Metron
CR Chief

Went 2-1

Round 1 vs Hulk team
Good and pretty balanced game. Played vs IceHulk with Iceman AE, Red Hulk, Red She Hulk, Joe Fixit, Domino, Aim Renegade, She Hulk, Bruce Banner with AE, and one other Hulk.
My multiple Outiwts and Preplexers made it tough for my opponent but he did get some good licks in KO'ing Psycho Man. I KO'd his Red Hulk and in the second to last turn of the game managed to kill his Fixit. I would have lost the game (150-151) had I not killed him.
1-0

2nd Round More Hulks

This was a bad game for my opponent. He could not roll anything higher than a 5 and needed way more than that to hit my 18 defenses. I felt bad for my opponent only cause I have been there too. I killed about 600-700 points of his to my 151 (Psycho Man again)
2-0

Last game sucked as I went up against Zod, Non, Ursa and an army of Kryptonians. I lost map choice and the Bizzaro map was not my friend. I was slaughtered! One cool thing is I did manage to pull off Psycho Man's Triple Non-feedback producing Mind Control on Zod, Non, and Ursa. Problem is they way he was positined I could only kill one of his lackey Kryptonians, stupid Bizzaro World Map!
87-760

2-1
Was overall fun as I had never played 4 of my 7 figures. That last game was a doozy though.
It is better to keep quiet and be thought of as a fool than to say something and remove all doubt.
