I gave up on Star Wars a long time ago, my number 2 became my number one, but now Scott is doing a prequel...wtf... I'll be running out of number 2's at this rate.
Supanate is far too reserved to commit a broad plug for his company, but I will:
Starving Artists Productions is a great, great group of folks that put together some fantastic shows and such. If you're anywhere within driving distance to Charlotte, NC then you owe it to yourself to see "The Birth", a play around Christmas time that is award winning and very thoughtful. THey have other stuff too, check them out on the web.
Though it's strange to see someone you play Heroclix with acting in front of hundreds of folks.....makes you want to throw dice at them.
Just a plug, hasta-lasagna.
OH! And Supanate had a thread bragging about his Brotherhood team a few days ago......how did they do agains the Justice League of America, Supanate?
HOW DID THEY DO SUPANATE????????
Luke B. smackin' muties
Always do the best you can
Always do the right thing
Treat others the way you want to be treated
The film goes on just a LITTLE too long to hold my interest all the way through. That being said, I love it. And I love the chemistry between the two guys. As an actor and someone thinking about starting short films, a great inspiration.
What kind of Star Wars fan would actually go to watch the new 3D release? I wouldn't even expose children to such rubish.
I'm going to see the re-release. I don't know if I'll see it in 3D, but you better believe I'll be there next weekend with my butt planted in a movie theater seat to watch Star Wars on the big screen again.
ViperWingLeade(r) ... it's funny you mention that because originally this was the opening element to a feature script but we doctored it up to a short film version. that said, watching it a few times since we debuted it i've thought "man, we sure are turds to her."
that said, she does get their age wrong multiple times. And I think, ultimately, they all kind of reach a bit of an understanding over their mutual genre flavors.
for the record, I would NEVER be this "nerd-rageous" to anyone.

snatreaper, thanks for the sharing love.
Well I am glad to see film makers getting their vision out...like I said, it just...hurt...to watch...in the end it is your film.
However that is not to say I haven't had some knock down drag outs with some browncoats before...yesssh... Whedonites scare me man....

Star Wars is not going to be in theatres next weekend. The Phantom Menace is not Star Wars. Star Wars has a plot that actually makes sense, and characters capable of garnering genuine interest by the viewer. All The Phantom Menace has in it is a bunch of uninteresting people running around, doing things that completely contradict the things they say they want to do, and loads of flashy CGI.
It was a fun little film. They definitely go too far with Indiana. It's one thing to try and explain how inane Avatard is to someone, but one must break things down into far simpler terms when doing so for a teenager. It would also help not to be a tool while doing so.
