Whatever you do, don't play the DC75 Grodd LE and 3 Gorilla City Warriors as a 300 point team. It may look fun to have a lot of Psychic Blast, but I saw that team get eaten alive at a tournament once. It didn't look like it was all that fun to be that guy.

You're too late on this, already been mentioned. I don't have the frog and it's a chase that not a lot of people have. So that's why I didn't put him in there.

As for Capwolf, not only is he another chase figure but he doesn't offer any new abilities for Animal Man to copy. So he just didn't fit my thoughts. But you really should list your animal team with Capwolf.

Obviously the animal keyword is too good for just one article to cover all the possibilities.
- I think when we're talking about theme teams for people to build, he's trying to keep it confined to figures that most people can own/afford to own. When you have a CHASE figure that costs over $100, I don't think everyone is going to own that piece.
- I found it kind of ironic that you put a Wolverine as the opening image, and Wolverine only has 1 animal piece, almost as ironic as puting a "0" range on Tiger Lily (HA).

As far as "Animal" clix go, I've always favored the following:

-M&M Beast: He has a nice smattering of Outwit and Perplex, along with some decent attack values. Nice second string attacker and support piece for 73pts.
- (Icons) REV Cheetah: Each one of her clix (which are 55pts or less) are just plain good for what you pay. She's very in your face and may go down hard, but she can put a whoopin' on ya.
- (V) Vixen: She's a nice piece for close combat and I have to agree with the comment that she would go nicely with Animal Man, allowing him to borrow some Stealth.

These are some of my favorites. Good article, it's Heroclix gone WILD!!!

just played the team of WL-Animal Man, Capwolf, Weapon X, Howard the Duck, and Sabretooth with the White Lantern object and Auto Regen on Weapon X. And needless to say that White power of his allowing him to take charge, blades, or flurry for attacking and Perplex, Shape Change, Combat Reflexes and Regen for defense and healing was just fantastic. That team right there got me the middle spot for one of my venues Supremacy League. Animal Man is just fantastic

Bingo! And I also purposely didn't go back very far in sets as well. It's also notable that there are hundreds of good combinations and to list them all would be like writing a small dictionary. Yeah, I just thought a pic of a mad ol wolverine would be cool, despite the fact that Wolvie himself doesn't get many pieces with they keyword. All in good fun!

You never take out Noh-Varr. He's a one Bug-Man skull busting army.

Once you get into the 1,000pt range you can play Starro, though the Animal team is beastly without him, if you want to get bad looks from the other players.

Aside from Noh-Varr & Rocket Raccoon you're missing two of my all time favorite Animal figs. Miek & Beast. The M&M Beast was great for his Brilliant Tact days, the GSX version is a nice update. Glad you mentioned Solovar for his TK, Golden Age you really need to use Peotre for the cheaper TK.

Lockjaw has always been great to help meet the minimum figures for theme.
WizKids GamePlay, "You can only play our game if you buy the new stuff. Those old figures are dirty and obsolete."
