Artistic advice
Hey all,

I'm making a map of Endor (Ewoks and all) and need a spot of help.

For the roof of the bunkers I have just a dull gray. Any ideas how to make it more artistic, or metallic? I'm using Photoshop 7.

Thanks!

I work with both Photoshop 7.0 and Illustrator 10.0 and find that I prefer to use Illustrator to design to this point. Creating a simple black/white gradation pattern with the hues fluctuating throughout the gradation will give a metallic look. This advice may change as the map I am currently working on is MY first (and am creating it through Illustrator mostly) but it will also be three dimensional (foam core overpass and a steel girder building!).............I'm putting alot of time into it and I hope it pays off! I'll see if I can post some pictures when (if) I finish it.

LOL!

You can also use the paint bucket tool and change from Fill color to Pattern. PS hsa a number of preset textures to use, and you can also find plenty of free ones online.

is a good site for this stuff.
Whenever someone asks me what I think the most dangerous animal is, i tell them it has to be a shark riding on an elephant, just eating and trampling everything in sight.
